The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Baoding City is forcing the local businesses to participate in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The CCP is using the "stability of the Olympics" as an excuse for this newest wave of persecution. The photo below is a signed agreement between the Baoding Power Company and the CCP. The agreement states that the Baoding Power Company will monitor their employees who practise Falun Gong. The agreement also states that employees must monitor and report their relatives who practise Falun Gong. If they fail to spy on their own families around the clock, seven days a week, they will be fired.

Officials Zhao Kejun, Zhao Jun and Zhang Sijun of the Gaobeidian City 610 Office1 and Police Department, under the supervision of Wang Hong'en (Wang is with the National Security Brigade of Baoding City) are making random door-to-door searches in their hunt for practitioners. Between July 17th and 26th over twenty practitioners were arrested without cause or warrant. The Police Department of Dingxing County, following a similar policy, arrested eighteen practitioners on June 26th and two more on June 27th

On the morning of July 1st, at about 4:00 a.m., the entire police force from Bailong Police Station of Mancheng County, Baoding City and Shenxing Township, drove to Dakanxia Village of Bailong Township, Mancheng County to monitor and arrest local practitioners. At 5:00 p.m. on July 17th, when practitioner Lu Shunli from Baoding City went to visit fellow practitioner Wu Kui's new home, the police stormed in and arrested them.

Note

1. "The 610 office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
