On the evening of August 22nd, 2008, during Helsinki Art Night, Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Esplanade Park to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Practitioners hung up an eye catching "Falun Gong is good" banner in the park and collected signatures supporting an end to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. Several young female practitioners were wearing beautiful ancient Chinese clothing as they distributed information leaflets and folded paper lotus flowers to the passers-by. Often, people were interested in taking pictures with practitioners.

It was a bustling night in the park, but although there were various arts and cultural activities, when people saw thecFalun Gong banners and the practitioners demonstrating the five Falun Gong exercises they could not help stopping to watch to learn more about it. Many people took leaflets or asked for details. After understanding the truth, the people naturally gave their signatures to stop the persecution.

A practitioner said she met a young man who said he could not understand what Falun Gong practitioners were doing - this was not that the Chinese people were saying China was not good? The practitioner said to him, "We are exposing the fact that the CCP are persecuting Falun Gong practitioners who practice truthfulness, benevolence, forbearance, so you must first distinguish that the CCP does not mean China. Just like Hitler's Nazis could not be the representative of Germany. At that moment the young man mentioned that he was German. Xiao Wang said that if I said that Hitler was bad, do you think I say that Germany was not good? The young man did not speak.

The practitioner said, "The evil CCP are stealing without humanity the organs of live Falun Gong practitioners to earn a huge profit and are cremating the bodies to hide the evidence."
