Ms. Li Dan was a music teacher employed by the Liuhua Elementary School and she received merit as a first-class music teacher many times due to her professional excellence. She began cultivating in Falun Gong in 1996 because she had a weak and ill body, and her sicknesses soon disappeared. She married a middle school principal, and they formed a happy family. She strictly disciplined herself according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to upgrade her mind nature. She was a typical good wife and mother and a highly virtuous teacher.
After July 20th, 1999, Ms. Li Dan could not escape the cruel persecution of Falun Gong. She stood up bravely, went to Beijing to appeal, defended Falun Gong according to her personal experiences and exposing the persecution. She was arrested and brutally beaten multiple times. The school administration, her colleagues, and her students were all very angry about the persecution, and they rescued her from brainwashing sessions many times.
In 2006, Ms. Li Dan was arrested once again. She was tortured to the degree of deformity. She was rescued from detention, but she was already dying. Her fellow practitioners took turns taking care of her in the hospital, but she died soon after returning home because of the severity of the torture.
