Ms. Lu Fengying was a Falun Gong practitioner in Shimiao Village, Dalin Town, Shuangliu County, Sichuan Province. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, CCP agents in Dalin Town have tried to force every local practitioner to write statements stating that they will give up Falun Gong.

During the Olympic Games, agents in Dalin Town distributed flyers with content slandering Falun Gong to every local household. Meantime, they monitored each practitioner closely. Ms. Lu, who once went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, was monitored even more closely. Her home was searched and her Falun Gong books and leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong were seized. Due to the persecution, she did not dare to do the Falun Gong exercises. Her old illnesses relapsed, and her condition was serious. Even so, the agents would not let her be, and instead they forced her to report to the village office every day or otherwise she would be fined.

Under the persecution, Ms. Lu became very confused. She told everyone she met, "I am not allowed to practise the exercises. What should I do?" She passed away in December 2008 while facing false charges.
