In the morning on March 14th, the 30th St Patrick's Day Parade in Dallas marched down Greenville Avenue. The parade procession consisted of more than 150 groups, attracting tens of thousands of spectators. This parade started in 1979, and practitioners have participated in it for the past several years to showcase the beauty of Falun Dafa and raise awareness of the persecution in China.
In the previous several days, temperatures had dropped dramatically, and rain had set in. The morning of March 14th was still dark and gloomy. Nevertheless, tens of thousands of residents lined up along Greenville Avenue to enjoy this annual grand celebration. The practitioners' coordinated marching band, peaceful demeanour, and energetic music were met with exclamations and applause. By the time the parade concluded, the clouds had dissipated and it had turned into a sunny day.
This is the second time the Texas Divine Land Marching Band has participated in this parade. Their energetic music and the practitioners' impressive new uniforms made them the most popular band. Many spectators raised their thumbs toward the band and greeted it with warm applause.
Eye-catching "Falun Dafa" "Falun Dafa is Good" and Falun Dafa website signs were displayed on the practitioners' decorated float. Five practitioners in yellow exercise suits demonstrated the five exercises. Many spectators applauded when they saw the demonstration, and some also imitated the movements of the practitioners.
Along the parade route, several practitioners distributed informational fliers. People were glad to take a copy and some started to read them immediately.
