On around November 20th, 2006, practitioner Mr. Sui Jingjiang from Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province was diagnosed with high blood pressure during an examination while he was serving a sentence in the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City. The labour camp doctor forcibly injected him with a drug that he claimed would lower his blood pressure. At the end of December 2006, Mr. Sui was released ahead of schedule, but after he returned home, his mind was unclear, he was not able to walk steadily, and his tongue was stiff when he tried to talk.

During the past two years, Mr. Sui Jingjiang's physical condition has worsened, and he often falls while walking. His tongue still becomes stiff when he talks and he has no energy to speak. These are symptoms of badly damaged nerves in the brain.

Mr. Sui Jingjiang began to practise Falun Gong around 1997. Before he learned Falun Gong, Mr. Sui had lung cancer. After he started to practise, his lung cancer disappeared, Falun Gong gave him a second life, and he regained his health. When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong and its practitioners in July 1999, Mr. Sui and several other practitioners went to Zhongnanhai (compound housing the CCP's highest officials) in Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. He was arrested and taken back to his home town. He was imprisoned and persecuted in the following years.

During the Chinese New Year in January 2001, he was arrested by officers of the Sheli Township Police Station. After being detained for several months in the No. 2 Detention Centre in Acheng City, he was taken to the brainwashing centre at the textile machinery school for further persecution.

On around May 1st, 2001, Mr. Sui Jingjiang was taken to the Harbin City Wanjia Forced Labour Camp. Later he was transferred to the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp. After several months, he appeared to have high blood pressure during an examination and he was released early. Not long after Mr. Sui Jingjiang returned home, his body was covered with scabs, and his skin was black, inflamed, and oozed pus. However, through cultivation and Falun Gong practice, he recovered quickly.

During July and August of 2006, personnel from the local Sheli Township Police Station, the 610 Office1, and the Domestic Security Division broke into Mr. Sui's home many times, ransacking his home to check for Falun Gong materials. In the end, they used sticky tape that they found as evidence to arrest Mr. Sui and his wife Ms. Wang Yanqiu. Soon after that, Mr. Sui and Ms. Wang were sent to the Changlinzi Forced Labour Camp and the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp.

On around November 20th, 2006, during an examination in the labour camp, Mr. Sui was diagnosed with high blood pressure again. The labour camp doctor gave Mr. Sui an injection "to reduce the blood pressure." At the end of December 2006, he was released earlier than expected. After he returned home, Mr. Sui had abnormal conditions: his mind was not clear, he couldn't walk properly, etc. A once-healthy man has now been persecuted to the point that he can hardly take care of himself.

Note

1. "The 610 office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
