The annual Asian Festival in Long Island, New York was held on May 9th at Wang Centre, Stony Brook University. Local government officials, businessmen, Asian community leaders and local citizens attended the festival. Falun Gong practitioners from Long Island took this chance to spread the Fa.

Falun Gong practitioners held an one-hour-long workshop to teach the exercises. Some local Westerners and Asians learned the exercises. A local seniors' centre director invited practitioners to teach 140 senior citizens the exercises.
Practitioners set up a booth, where they showed videos and displayed many books. Many people accepted flyers and asked for detailed information about the exercises.
The organiser of the festival invited practitioners to attend again next year.
