Numerous Practitioners' Homes Ransacked in Tangshan City, Hebei Province

Tangshan City, Hebei Province practitioners Ms. Xia Shuying, Mr. Zhao Qingyuan, Ms. Liang Feng and others were arrested and their homes ransacked by the police.

Recently, the Domestic Security Division and city police departments worked together on a series of persecution incidents against Falun Gong practitioners. On the morning of April 9th, 2009, in a joint effort with the Airport Road Police Station, officers ransacked the home of Ms. Xia Shuying in the Blue Sky Building near the airport. They confiscated large quantities of personal items and arrested her.

On the morning of April 10th, police from the Xiangfengdao Police Station ransacked Ms. Liang Feng's home in the Xiangfuli neighbourhood. They took Ms. Liang's son's computer. Ms. Liang was at work when the ransacking occurred.

At 8 p.m. on April 11th, officers of the Airport Road Police Station broke into Mr. Ge Xuejun's home and confiscated personal items.

On April 12th, police from the Xiangfengdao Police Station ransacked the home of Ms. Guo Junting. They arrested Ms. Guo and another practitioner, Mr. Zhao Qingyuan. Ms. Guo has since been released, but Mr. Zhao is still under detention.

On the morning of April 14th, police from the Wenhua Police Station ransacked the home of Ms. Bai Yanhui under the orders of the new police chief, surnamed Su. They did not find anything, so they ransacked the home a second time and still found nothing. They did not give up and returned to harass the residents numerous times.

Following the round of persecution that took place at about the same time as the Olympics, this is another large scale persecution of practitioners. Local police stations implemented the persecution under the direction of the 610 Office1, Domestic Security Division and Police Departments.
