Five Practitioners in Chongqing City Recently Sent to Forced Labour Camp

Practitioner Ms. Tan Yinxiang, from Guojiatuo in Jiangbei District, Chongqing City, was arrested at noon on March 16th, 2009. That night a group of three or four officers from Tangjiatuo River Police Station ransacked Ms. Tan's home. Her daughter tried every possible way to find out where Ms. Tan was taken, but by the end of March, she still had no clue. Ms. Tan is currently jailed at the Shabao Women's Forced Labour Camp in Jiangbei District, Chongqing City and has been sentenced for two years forced labour.

Ms. Ling Dan of Chongqing City was arrested by the police and forced to have her finger prints taken. She is now in the Shabao Women's Forced Labour Camp serving a term of one and a half years.

On May 11th, practitioner Ms. Huang Yonggui from Wanzhou District, Chongqing City was tricked into going to the Beishan Police Station. There she was arrested and jailed in the local drug rehabilitation centre. Two weeks later, she was sent to the Shanbao Women's Forced Labour Camp to serve a sentence of 15 months.

Ms. Wang Qin and Ms. Peng Lirong from Changshou District in Chongqing City were reported to the police when they went to Lingfeng Town to tell people the facts about Falun Gong. They were arrested by officers from the Lingfeng Town Police Station and sent to the Shanbao Women's Forced Labour Camp.
