This is the first time the Truth-Compassion-Forbearance International Art Exhibition has been displayed in Moscow. The opening day, a Moscow district MP, artists, and representatives of human rights organisations gave speeches at the opening ceremony and wished a successful exhibition.
The district Secretary for Culture in Moscow said, "You can see 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance' in each painting, especially in the eyes of Falun Gong practitioners. She also stressed that "justice will ultimately prevail over evil, as described in the content of the paintings."
The exhibition hall manager said: "These paintings have very high artistic value. The exhibition is completely different from others, as these paintings touch the hearts of people. They move you."
An artist said: "I am very fond of these paintings. They bring a better and bright future to mankind. I believe that good will save the world!"
A well-known human rights activist said at the opening ceremony that the exhibition held in Moscow has great significance. "We understand through the exhibition that a human tragedy is being staged in China. These paintings make us feel close to a decade of China's persecution of Falun Gong. We should pay more attention to this matter."
The representative of Russia's "human rights protection centre" Mr. Liao Fu Banama, also delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, expressing his wish for the art exhibition to be successful in Moscow.
An exhibition guide, told this reporter: "When people entered the exhibition hall, they were immediately attracted to these paintings. Soon they became very serious and a lot of them shed tears. After viewing the paintings, the majority of them wrote messages in the book, some of them very touching."
