This is the first time the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" art works were exhibited in Austria, and is the first stop of an Austrian tour. The exhibition was held in the "Time" art gallery in the centre of Vienna from June 16 to June 27, 2009. It attracted a large number of painters and artists. Many were impressed by the skilful techniques of the participating painters.
Musician Ms Iva said: "I can feel that behind these paintings lie some unusual inner meanings." When she learned about Falun Gong, she immediately bought a copy of Zhuan Falun (the main text of Falun Gong practice).
An elderly gentleman was shocked by a painting depicting a mother holding her son, who had been tortured to death. The message delivered through this painting awakened his memory. He went into exile in Austria from Bosnia in 1962, escaping from the Communist regime. He was also a prisoner in a concentration camp. Later he studied drawing with a renowned professor. He said: "This painting is great. Superb skill. I am stunned."
Many visitors wanted to learn Falun Gong after viewing the exhibition. People often lingered in the art gallery, hesitating to leave.
The "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" art works were exhibited in various cities in Austria.
