Lin Weijia is six years old. In April of 2009, his mother, Yin Qi, his maternal grandmother, Xu Shujie, and his maternal grandfather, Yin Xunzhen, were arrested by Doumen District State Security Department police in Zhuhai City because they practised Falun Gong and followed the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They have been kept in custody at Doumen No. 2 Detention Centre.
Weijia used to be a very happy child. When he would come home from kindergarten he would happily follow his mother around. When Wei Jia lost his mother it was devastating to him! Wei Jia misses his mother so much, but instead of crying, Wei Jia just sits there quietly for a long time, motionless. Sometimes when he misses his mother terribly, he goes to his paternal grandmother and asks, "Will my mother come back to see me when I die?"
Today in China millions of Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted. They are either detained or forced to leave home and become homeless in order to escape from the severe persecution. Consequently they are forced to separate from their families, and their children are left with relatives. Wei Jia is only one of the millions of children whose families are being persecuted.
