Mr. Dominguez, general manager at a Swiss airline, was amazed after seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts for the first time. He joined an appreciative audience that resoundingly responded to the world-acclaimed show at Theatre de Leman in Geneva, "Tonight is the first time I have gotten to see this performance. I am really delighted, and I would even say completely amazed at what we have seen here tonight," Mr. Dominguez exclaimed.

He said he was touched by the uplifting values presented in the portrayal of China's five-millennia old traditional culture in classical Chinese dance and music.
Describing his experience, he said, "It's true that when you're at the head of a company there is a lot of pressure from the business perspective. A step back like this, even if it's just for one evening ... allows us to reflect."
Mr. Dominguez said that seeing Shen Yun has already given him a different perspective and cause to reflect. "I'd say it's a different experience, a show that raises awareness of human values."
"You fully experience the show; you're in the show and they carry you away. They make you take off and really put you in a bubble where you have time to appreciate what is before you.
In one vignette, Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution, a father is tortured to death for his spiritual belief leaving behind a distraught wife and daughter. "The emotion from this, especially that little girl, is wonderful and has single-handedly left a [lasting] impression on us."
Mr. Dominguez felt that this story which bespeaks of an old Chinese adage that good will be rewarded and evil punished, even if not in this lifetime, was one that should be shared by others.
"It somewhat brings back human morals to the center of it all, even if it's just for one evening, which in my opinion, allows some people to change ... perhaps not fundamentally their way of being, but even if five or 10 percent [change], there's a part that has changed. I'd say it's an experience that we must share with lots of people."
Shen Yun 'Conveys that there is still hope'
Also amongst the awe-inspired show-goers in the Théâtre du Léman were Ms. Castongay, who writes for a magazine and her friend, Ms. Michelle, an artist and dental hygienist.
"I really, really, really liked the performance, it was moving, I have never seen something like this--it would be impossible to describe," Ms. Castongay enthused.
New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts brings back China's traditional five millennia-old culture, conveyed through classical Chinese dance and music, that was decimated under communism rule.
"What touched me is how the music, dance, movements, reflect and enable us to experience profound emotion," she said.
"Its astonishing, because we don't expect that at all and all of a sudden we are carried away, and I really liked this aspect."
Her friend, Ms. Michelle, was moved by the soulful tones of the unique two-stringed traditional Chinese instrument, the erhu, and described her experience. "I felt an incredible emotion deep inside, as she [the show presenter] said before, music can help to heal. I was telling myself, indeed by listening to this, we are taken to our deepest emotions so we can only feel good! I found this magnificent!"
"It is like when we are a child and are told a story. We are in the middle of this story, we live the story. It gives me the same impression. We feel like we are inside living a children's story, it is magnificent."
Reflecting on the dance, Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution: After the father is tortured to death and his body is returned to his wife and daughter, the family is devastated. Ms. Michelle said, "That was the one that generated in me the strongest emotion!"
"It wasn't said, but I found it conveyed very, very strong emotion. When you see the little girl crying to her father, it's like a sin, it carries very strong emotions. Actually, the stories are not very long pieces, they're very short, but you are immediately taken into what suffering means, and then to convey that there is still hope, something else afterwards, but we go through all these emotions."
The two ladies agreed that they were deeply moved by Shen Yun. "Yes, it's magnificent, it touches you!"
