Manipulated by Jiang Zemin's, [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] gang, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the brutal persecution of Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999. The CCP's prisons, forced labour camps, and detention centres employ a wide array of torture methods in order to "transform" [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] Falun Gong practitioners. The pictures below reveal the vicious nature of the CCP.

"Carrying a sword on the back" is one of the cruellest methods employed for torturing practitioners. The guards first pull the practitioner's hand behind his back by pulling his hand over the top of the shoulder of the same hand. They then pull the other hand up from the lower back. The wrists are then handcuffed together. Although most people who are tortured like this feel extreme pain in less than twenty minutes, practitioners are forced to stay in this position for up to four hours.
