Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhang Haiming, Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Ms. Song Yuhong, and Ms. Gao Liping were arrested in their offices in Harbin City in December 2009 by police from Hulunbeier City, Inner Mongolia. Recently they were sentenced to forced labour camps. Mr. Yan Jiguo was arrested at the same time, and will face trial.
At 7 p.m. on December 14th, 2009, Deputy Director Guo of the Ewenkeqi Public Security Bureau in Hulunbeier City, Inner Mongolia, and the former team leader of the National Security Team, Wang Haijun, together with police from Dayan Police Station in Ewenkeqi and Xinjian Police Station in Nangang District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, arrested five Falun Gong practitioners at the Yachen Company in the Daowai District, Harbin City. Those arrested included Yan Jiguo, Zhang Haiming, Zhang Guizhi, Song Yuhong and Gao Liping. Afterwards they were detained in the Ewenkeqi Detention Centre in Inner Mongolia.
During their detention of over two months, their family members requested many times to visit them, but were all denied by the National Security Team in Ewenkeqi. It was reported that Mr. Yan Jiguo was tortured, and is now disoriented.
In January 2010, the National Security Team in Ewenkeqi incriminated the five Falun Gong practitioners, and sent the so-called evidence to the procuratorate in Hulunbeier City. The procuratorate sent back materials about Zhang Haiming, Zhang Guizhi, Song Yuhong and Gao Liping.
On February 8th, 2010, without the presence of any family members or attorney, the Forced Labour Committee in the Legal Branch of the Public Security Bureau in Hulunbeier City, secretly sentenced Mr. Zhang Haiming to forced labour for one year and Ms. Zhang Guizhi to one and a half years. The terms of Ms. Song Yuhong and Ms. Gao Liping in forced labour camps were unknown. At this time the five practitioners are still detained in the Ewenkeqi detention centre. Recently, the procuratorate in Hulunbeier City wanted to indict Mr. Yan Jiguo again, and planned to put him on trial.
