On the evening of March 7th in Malaysia, local Chinese television station 8TV covered a Falun Gong parade in Taiwan, which peacefully protested the persecution in China. Hundreds of thousands of people saw the news story.
The Falun Gong parade was reported as "International Focus." The following is from the transcript of the news broadcast.
"While the People's Congress in China is in session, hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan held a parade, protesting the brutal persecution of Falun Gong launched by the Chinese government. Attendees called for attention to the persecution and for help to stop it.
"Hundreds of Falun Gong supporters passed by the Presidential Building in Taipei with banners, which protest the persecution, and distributed information about the persecution. The organisers said that thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China are still being persecuted."
