The Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company performed for the first time in Bregenz located on the eastern shore of Lake Constance, the third-largest freshwater lake in Central Europe. Bregenz is the capital of Austria's most Western state Vorarlberg.
The Bregenzer Festspielhaus (Festival House), with its newly renovated large hall of dark acacia wood, exudes elegance, making it the perfect venue for the renowned Shen Yun Company. Many audience members travelled quite a distance to see the world-renowned traditional Chinese cultural show.
The highly enthusiastic audience broke into frequent resounding rounds of applause throughout the performance, with several curtain calls and standing ovations.

"The show presented Chinese dance and stories, which was very appealing and pleasant to watch," said Dieter Dörflinger, head of the procurement department at BASF, the world's leading chemical company.
He said he was impressed with the orchestra and said that the music he heard would remain in his mind for a long time.
"The music is totally different and is very pleasing to the ears. I really enjoyed it. It is something that one does not forget easily."
He also said, "The interaction between the backdrop, the dances, the colors and costumes was fantastic. I absolutely loved the show."
Werner Fellner, head of the general counsel at the Vorarlberg Economic Chamber of Commerce and his wife, Dr. Gerhild Fellner, counsel for a city accounting division, also attended the show.
"The show is very impressive," said Ms. Fellner. "The dance, the jewelry, the artists and the choreography-all conveyed happiness and cheerfulness, which is very good."
President of Holocaust Memorial Greatly Moved by Shen Yun
Elena Büchel, pianist, and Marcus Büchel, attorney and president of Yad Vashem, the Jewish people's living memorial to the Holocaust were also in attendance, and expressed their appreciation for Shen Yun Performing Arts.
"I enjoyed the show very much. Impressive! My congratulations," said Ms. Büchel.

The couple had come from the Principality and small state of Liechtenstein, about a 30-minute drive away.
A bank in the area presented tickets for the show to many of its clients. The couple had come on special invitation from this bank.
"I enjoyed the show very much. Impressive! My congratulations," said Ms. Büchel.
Mrs. Buchel said the show was "Very nice. I really enjoyed the dance scenes."
Ms. Büchel praised the Shen Yun Touring Company Orchestra, "This enhanced the show greatly. It is such a pleasure to hear a live orchestra. What was also most impressive was to listen to a fusion of Chinese and Western instruments. A truly international orchestra."
"I loved the orchestra. But, besides the orchestra, the costumes were fantastic. And, what was so fascinating was that the ladies costumes were totally different from the men's costumes. They were not matched with each other, but they were well put together. It presented an amazing stage picture.
"One can see that a lot of effort was put into everything displayed on stage." She said she greatly appreciated the dance, Heavenly Maidens.
Her husband agreed and said, "Also the silver jewelery was outstanding. Very outstanding and unique. I have never seen such movements and costumes, when one was wearing so much jewels, giving a special tone in combination with the orchestra's music. It was a crackling noise--very beautiful."
"Wonderful! Beautiful show!" exclaimed her husband, saying he enjoyed the show very much. "It was something unusual. We saw a beautiful performance, with very many colorful costumes and outstanding dancers.
"The dances were very dynamic. There were very accomplished dancers and soloists--it was remarkable. And the fusion of the music was great," referring to the harmonious combination of Eastern and Western instruments.
He was profoundly moved by the message of the show, especially "the transience of earthly life. I saw humans climbing on a ladder to heaven. This mirrors exactly what we feel. This also is similar to the western belief of a better life after death."
