The closing performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Dresden Kulturpalast was just as enthusiastically received as the opening performance, with people applauding thunderously throughout the show. Just as on the previous day, there were three curtain calls and a standing ovation before the last curtain fell. The audience whistled, calling out "Bravo," and applauded enthusiastically.
Mr. Geor Schmalfuss, a singer at the Landesbuehne Saxony in Radebeul, and his family attended the Shen Yun Performing Arts show on April 15. "Very beautiful. I loved it," exclaimed Ms. Schmalfuss.
She was touched by the dance Flowing Silk. "The dance with the long sleeves was marvellous. And, I loved the music," she said, referring to the orchestra with its fusion of Eastern and Western instruments.

Mr. Schmalfuss was moved by the two dances in the performance, Nothing Can Block the Divine Path, and Astounding Conviction, that tell contemporary stories about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. "I understood this," he said.
He summarised his thoughts about the show, saying, "The choreography was perfect. It is quite evident that these artists have worked together for a number of years and practice a lot."
He added, "As an artist I have a better eye than someone who is not into arts and thus can judge the performance from a different point of view. It was super how they worked together."
'It was like poetry'
Professor and sculptress Ursula Sax from Dresden was also in the audience. She had seen Shen Yun in 2008 in Berlin and saw it for a second time in Dresden last year. So this was her third time watching the Shen Yun show.

"All the scenes are one of a kind and beautiful in the way they are presented. I was deeply impressed with the dance Flowing Silk. The movement with the silk sleeves presented an expanded view that is difficult to describe."
She also said, "There were different types of marvellous expressions. It was fantastic. It was like poetry. It was very artistic, showed a lot of talent and was just perfect."
'Unbelievably Beautiful!'
Ms. Strobel, a media representative of AOK, a market leader in the German health insurance industry for the Saxony and Thueringen states, was also among the appreciative audience. "Absolutely marvellous. I'm thrilled," she said.
"I was absolutely fascinated by the dancers, and the choreography was fantastic. The artists displayed an unbelievably high level of professionalism from the first to the last performance, from the little dancer, the child, to the grown-ups. Naturally the singers were perfect. But, I must repeat that I was most fascinated by the dancers," she said.
She continued, "The colours, the musical tones and the backdrop, just about everything was one-of-a-kind. First, it was exotic, very unique, something that I had not seen, and I think it will take some time before it will come back to our area.
"This kind of dance and choreography, without even mentioning the costumes and the music, were absolutely unparalleled."
In summary, she praised the colours in the many different scenes, saying they were "unbelievably beautiful" and the dancers "were an inspiration. One could clearly feel that it was just so amazing.
"The wide spectrum [of the performances] is unbelievable. The show began with the traditional dances from the past and reached to the Falun Dafa persecution of today."
'Everything was very harmonious'

Gitta Milewski, a retired media consultant, and her friend Margit Gabriel, a former childcare worker, felt fortunate to win their tickets from the print media Top Magazine.
"I absolutely loved the show." said Ms. Milewski. "It was very diversified. Then, there were the beautiful costumes and the music."
Her friend agreed and added, "Also, artistically the show appears to be at a very high level."
Ms. Gabriel shared that "the backdrops were wonderful. Everything was very harmonious. Everything was harmonised. Even the music was in harmony."
'It was fantastic'
Göran Sjöstedt, retired from Metrima Energi AB, Linköping, Sweden, attended the Shen Yun Performing Arts show this year in Germany. He has seen the Shen Yun show several times over the past years in Sweden and last year in Paris.
"I saw the show last year in Paris. It's a wonderful reminder to see the show again. It's very nice to see it again," he said with a huge smile on his face.

Just as in prior years, Mr. Sjöstedt could barely contain his enthusiasm for the show, "Oh, I enjoyed it. It was fantastic, very good."
"The Heavenly Maidens were fantastic. Ah, the first with the silk [Flowing Silk], or with the lanterns [Lanterns], I think they were all good. It is difficult to pick a favourite," he said.
He was moved by the scenes depicting the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, "And then of course the reminder about the Falun Gong, how it is handled--you have to remember, it is unbelievable."
Many audience members in the lobby discussed the scenes touching upon the persecution of Falun Gong in China, Nothing Can Block the Divine Path and Astounding Conviction.
Mr. Sjöstedt felt that the show brought cultural enrichment to its audience. "Yes, and it is a good reminder for everybody that this is a part of China."
Referring to the show's cancellation in Hong Kong, and the ban on the show in China, he said, "It is hard to believe but that is the case."
He concluded by saying, "We know that the show irritates the Chinese government a lot, especially since it is going on. This is an important message."
