Ms. Jing Ziying, 79, is from Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province.

Ms. Jing had suffered from all kinds of illnesses prior to cultivation. Ms. Jing was fortunate enough to begin her Falun Gong practice in 1997, and her illnesses disappeared. During the past ten plus years, Ms. Jing has become younger looking. Her hair, which had been turning grey before, is now black, and she walks energetically. She lives alone, prepares food for herself, and is able to look after her daily needs without assistance. She also helps take care of a mentally disabled girl.

On July 20th, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Jing went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000. CCP agents refused to listen to her, but instead sentenced her to one year of forced labour. While in a forced labour camp Ms. Jing refused to be "reformed" [forcibly renounce Falun Gong]. The guards subjected her to sleep deprivation and tried to force her to read books slandering Falun Gong. When Ms. Jing refused to do so, the guards ordered drug addict inmates to read them to her. The guards also forced her to do hard labour and forbade her to speak with other practitioners. She was followed even when she used the toilet. After her release, whenever political sensitive days came, Xi'an City 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong] agents would go to Ms. Jing's home or make phone calls to harass her.

Ms. Jing was arrested on July 22nd, 2010 by the local 610 Office, and her current whereabouts are unknown.
