On August 16th-21st, 2010, an annual event to welcome new students was held at Arizona State University. The school's Falun Dafa Association also participated in this event.

| Practitioners demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises |
The practitioners introduced the practice to new students and exposed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 11-year-long persecution of Falun Gong. Many new students from China came to listen to the practitioners' explanation and took informational materials to learn more.
On the evening of August 21st, the practitioners demonstrated the exercises on stages in the student center and stadium. The exercise music and graceful demonstration caught the attention of students, many of whom asked how they could learn the practice.
