In 1999 the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong, following which Falun Gong practitioners from different parts of the world began to disseminate the facts and oppose the persecution. The people living in free societies began to find out about the persecution that Falun Gong practitioners are facing in mainland China. In Holland, after many of the media realized the true situation, they began to to expose the crimes of the CCP and its lies, and to make the truth of how Falun Gong has been persecuted known to many. That information spread rapidly in Holland. Below are a few short extracts from several media:
The national television station in Holland broadcast the truth about the staged "Self-immolation" on Tiananmen Square.
On March 14, 2005, one of Holland's national television stations broadcast a Falun Gong programme created by a company called "Netwerk" and arranged to broadcast it as a special subject during the "Comments on Current Events" section of the programme.
NETWERK briefly explained what Falun Gong was and commented on how it became extremely popular throughout China after it was first introduced in 1992. Officially, close to 70 million people learned the practice, the actual number being higher than the the CCP estimate. Because of its huge popularity it was regarded as a significant danger to the CCP, and since 1999 it has been banned and persecuted. During the program the commentator, using footage of the video showing the so-called "Tiananmen Square self immolation," pointed out how the "self immolation" was a forgery, this being another kind of persecution that the Chinese authorities have committed apart from using extremely cruel methods to persecute to death at least 1500 Falun Gong practitioners.
When the broadcast started, what shocked everyone was that they presented to the public the film of Mrs. Chen and her daughter being interviewed by a reporter. This video was used by the CCP to dupe the international media. This video, which was full of lies, was exposed as such in Holland in May 2003. Immediately afterwards, an important documentary film exposing the true situation of the self immolation called "False Fire" was broadcast. During the broadcast, the spoken explanation was distinct and clear, and it was matched with subtitles in Dutch.
Two Dutch television stations focus on the CCP's crimes of live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners
On July 14, 2006, two Dutch television channels broadcast a primetime news report about the CCP's savage crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The title of the programme was "China's Trade in Organs." The report pointed out that a report from Canada verified that, in China, the large scale harvesting of organs causing the deaths of Falun Gong practitioners does exist. The first person interviewed was the previous head of Asian relations in Canada, Mr. David Kilgour. Also interviewed were Vice Chairman of the European Parliament Mr. Edward McMillan Scott and Ms. Chen Ying, a Falun Gong practitioner who had suffered persecution in China.
During an interview, the previous head of Asian relations, David Kilgour, reiterated details of the report, saying, "The results of the investigation are really very shocking. We almost dare not believe the reality of it." "This is the most serious of crimes against humanity. Using Falun Gong practitioners bodies to make a profit is something that didn't even happen during the time of the Nazis."
Vice Chairman of the European Parliament Mr. Edward McMillan Scott said during his interview that, several months ago he personally went to China and spoke to several Falun Gong practitioners. He said that the results of his investigation regarding the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong were alarming.
When Ms. Chen Ying was interviewed, she told of the forced brainwashing that she suffered in the Chinese labor camps, where she was injected against her will with harmful unknown drugs, tortured, and subjected to unwarranted physical examinations.
Approximately 10 Dutch media reported on the CCP's live harvesting of organs for profit. The Holland Organ Transplant Association announced that it wouldn't purchase organs from China and advised Dutch citizens not to go to China for any type of surgery.
Holland's Telegraph newspaper: The war against live organ harvesting
Telegraph, a Dutch newspaper, published a report titled "The War against Live Organ Harvesting" on December 12, 2008. The article said that on December 12, David Matas, a 60-year-old lawyer from Canada, spoke at a meeting at the Biological Medicine Conference in Holland. The main subject of his speech was "The Victims' Organ Trade: China's Falun Gong Practitioners." Falun Gong practitioners are tortured in labour camps even before their trials. If the practitioners refuse to be "transformed," they are often persecuted to death. Their organs are sold to purchasers from Europe and America, who would wait for several years to get an organ transplant in their own countries.
Last year, Matas publicly issued a detailed report, in which he interviewed a Chinese doctor. This doctor acknowledged that he could obtain matching organs from imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners.
The article said: "The CCP authorities are arresting Falun Gong practitioners. Many people have been tortured to death, and their organs are harvested and sold to be transplanted. This sort of action by the CCP has continued for several years. At the same time, at two committee meetings of the United Nations, a demand has already been made for Beijing to do an investigation."
The above are excerpts from just the larger media, whereas, in fact, many other media have exposed the CCP evil from different angles, paving the road for more Dutch people to come to understand the true situation. For example, the Holland newspaper Het Parool. Its report on September 30, 2002, was titled, "After Practicing Falun Gong, an 80-Year-Old Lady Was Put into Prison." It told about a practitioner from Holland, Wang Xianghe, and his practitioner brother and mother in China. His mother and brother have been detained in prison by the CCP because they practise Falun Gong and were brutally treated. The report explained what Falun Gong is and how the CCP had political motives in carrying out the persecution against the non-political Falun Gong.
Dutch Falun Gong practitioner Aishiong Kenaben took part in a protest by Western practitioners in Tiananmen Square on February 14, 2002. The fact that he was beaten up by Chinese police for peacefully appealing in Tiananmen Square shocked the media of Holland. From beginning to end, the media in Holland reported on this issue with very careful interest. Holland's several large television stations also interviewed him. On February 18, the national television station, NLNet1, invited him to be interviewed for their primetime evening program "Netwerk." The Dutch television channels, including the national television station, also broadcast his telephone conversations with them, as well as live interviews with him, and exposed the CCP's disregard for human rights.
