In a Heilongjiang Province forced labour camp, twelve Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted cruelly since early July 2010. They were hung upside down, and forced to sit on iron stools and to write guarantee statements for stopping the practice of Falun Gong.

Ms. Ren Yumin is one of the practitioners. When Ms. Ren was working in her unit on July 14th, 2009, she was told to take a physical examination by Pei Guangfu, the captain of the Public Security Bureau of Hulin City and other officers. Ms. Ren was taken to Hulin Detention Centre, where she was sentenced to two years of imprisonment. Then Ms. Ren was taken to Heilongjiang's provincial drug rehabilitation forced labour camp that same night.

Because Ren Yumin did not give up practising Falun Gong, she has been severely persecuted by guards Liang Xuemei, Niu Xiaoyun and others. They lock Ms. Ren in solitary confinement at 5:00 a.m., force her to read many books, listen to CDs and watch videos designed to brainwash her, and then they usually do not allow her to go to bed until 2:00 a.m.

Due to the prolonged persecution, Ms. Ren Yumin has suffered physically and mentally. She frequently has rapid heartbeat, dizziness, and nausea. Sometimes she cannot stand up to walk. On September 18th, 2010, all of the practitioners in the camp were forced to watch a Chinese Communist Party documentary. Even Ms. Ren, who had a sudden heart attack, was also forced to watch the video, while the guards humiliated and slandered her.

Other practitioners like Ms. Yu Xiaohua, Wang Huijun, Dong Yaqin also suffered from hypertension, heart disease and other illnesses. They were given unknown drugs in their food. After eating the food, Ms. Yu Xiaohua's skin broke out into red hives, which have persisted to the present.
