Amnesty International called for urgent action to rescue Falun Gong practitioner Guo Xiaojun on December 15th, 2010.

Guo Xiaojun, a former instructor at the Computer Science Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, insisted on practising Falun Gong, and was sentenced to five years in prison by a Chinese Communist Party court in 2000. He was arrested again in January 2010. During the World Expo, on July 6th, 2010, he was sentenced to four years in prison by Shanghai Baoshan Court. He was detained at the Tilanqiao Prison. Guo Xiaojun endured numerous forms of persecution, leading to vision loss. His family members have strongly requested letting him go abroad for medical treatment.
