After Being Held in Forced Labour Camps, Zhou Yandong, 40, Is White-Haired and Can Barely Walk

Forty-year-old practitioner, Zhou Yandong, was sentenced to forced labour camps three times. He was then moved to a brainwashing centre, where his hair turned white. Currently, he has a haggard face, an extremely weak body, and can barely walk.

On March 20th, 2010, Mr. Zhou was arrested in Shuangyan District while he was exposing the persecution to a member of the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong). He was sentenced on April 3rd to one year in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City. He was abused there, began vomiting blood and had a fever for a very long period.

On March 19th, 2011 his term at the camp expired, but Xu Lijun, director of the Shuangyan District 610 Office, along with some agents from Yunshan District Office, took Mr. Zhou to the Xinglongshan brainwashing centre, where the authorities continued persecuting him.

Mr. Zhou became very sick at the brainwashing centre. His red and white blood cell count dropped to very low levels. On March 23rd, officials at the brainwashing centre notified his family members, the 610 Office and officials from the local community to bring him back home.

On March 24th, no member of the 610 Office or local authorities went to the brainwashing centre, and his family members had to find where the brainwashing centre was before they could bring him back home.

Since 1999, Mr. Zhou has been persecuted in forced labour camps three times. The first time he was in a camp for three years. The second time was from January 20th, 2007 to some time in 2009, where he was held longer than his sentenced period. He was sentenced for a third time on April 3rd, 2010.
