October 1 was a Saturday with mild temperatures and sunny skies. The plaza in front of Exchange Hall in the centre of Brussels is a very busy place. Tour buses load and unload tourists, and there are many passersby. Practitioners displayed printed materials in French, Dutch, English, and Chinese for people from different countries. The Chinese language materials included pocket editions of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, booklets, newspapers, and DVDs.
The banners and display boards attracted many viewers. Many said they were stunned to learn about the brutality of the persecution against Falun Gong and expressed their concern. Some signed the guest book and wrote remarks of support for Falun Gong and condemnation of the CCP.
Mr. Abod, a martial arts enthusiast, was shocked to see the depictions of torture. He asked a practitioner about what was happening in China. When he learned that this was being done to Falun Gong practitioners in China, he said he already knew there was no freedom in China. He repeated several times that torture was a crime. In the guest book he wrote, “Persecution is a crime. Stop the persecution immediately.”
Mr. Laber studied the display boards and asked for more materials about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. He then wrote in the guest book, “Torture is useless. Go Falun Gong!”
Many Chinese tourists took materials. They were from Henan Province, Sichuan Province, northeast China, and Beijing. Practitioners told them how Falun Gong and the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance have been warmly embraced in over 100 countries.
One practitioner told them how the CCP staged the Tiananmen “self-immolation” to turn people against Falun Gong. In the picture, the man called Wang Jindong sat on the ground with his clothes burnt but his hair untouched and a bottle of gasoline between his legs like new. It was an obvious fabrication. “In the past, you may not have believed that the government would lie. But now you will wonder, 'If the government can lie and kill the witnesses just to tarnish the name of Falun Gong, what wouldn't it do?'”
A practitioner showed the Chinese tourists a newspaper with a picture of a million-year-old stone split in half with Chinese characters on it reading “The Chinese Communist Party Will Die.” The practitioner said it was a message from heaven to warn human beings that CCP has done too many bad deeds and that the heaven will eliminate it.
The newspaper also reported that over 100 million Chinese have publicly renounced the CCP and its affiliated organizations and renounced their vow to die with the CCP. The practitioners urged the Chinese tourists to follow the will of the heaven and quit the CCP to have a safe and bright future.
