The Fuzhou Domestic Security Division in Fujian Province and its staff, police officers, Zhou Xun, Lin Wenqiang, Lin Feng, Yang Mingkun, and director Li, have been very active in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
The police mentioned above have been involved in not only arresting practitioners, but also in ransacking practitioner's homes and stealing their personal belongings. The practitioners not only lost their freedom but suffered heavy financial losses. Some were held for long sentences, some lost jobs after being sentenced to home detention, and some are still being held in detention centres.
1. Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioner Zuo Fusheng and Fabricating Evidence Against Him
On January 19th, 2011, at around 8:00 a.m., police officers from the Fuzhou Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Zuo Fusheng, who was on his way to work. They took the keys to his home and ransacked it. They later secretly issued an arrest warrant. Mr. Zuo's lawyer sent a request to the Cangshan District Procurator Bureau requesting, “Monitor and correct the illegal acts of the Domestic Security Division of Fuzhou City,” but the bureau provided no response.
The Domestic Security Division agents also used indecent ways to prevent Mr. Zuo's lawyer from visiting his client. In their indictment against Mr. Zuo, they used his computer and personal belongings to serve as evidence, and even included his mother's music CD. This so-called indictment was handed over to Cangshan District Court, and Mr. Zuo Fusheng is facing sentencing.
2. Young Teacher Chen Xue Arrested
On the same day, young teacher Chen Xue from Fujian Engineering Institute was arrested. Chen Xue was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp, and was secretly transferred to Fujian Women's Forced Labour Camp on February 25th, 2011. Since there was no official documentation, her family could not find a lawyer to appeal her sentence. Another practitioner escaped in time but became homeless, being unable to return home.
3. Faun Gong Practitioner Lin Wanmao Arrested
On May 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Lin Wanmao was arrested at work. He was escorted home, and his home was ransacked. Police took his portable computer, CD player, Falun Gong books, satellite dish, and stamps. The perpetrators were Lin Feng and Zhou Xun.
4. Fujian Supreme Court Judge Guan Yujing Arrested and Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison
On June 23rd 2009, the officers Lin Wenqiang and Yan Mingkun from the Fuzhou Domestic Security Division, along with director Wang Xin from the Fuzhou Police Department, arrested Fujian Supreme Court Judge Guan Yujing and raided her home. She was sentenced to eight years and held in Fujian Women's Prison.
5. Falun Gong Practitioner Ye Qiaoming Arrested
On September 16th, 2009, policemen Zhou Xun, Lin Wenqiang, and Lin Feng, with their director Li, arrested Fujian Teacher's University staff member Ye Qiaoming at her workplace. They took her home keys and ransacked her home without any warrant and with no one at home. The officers took her Falun Gong books, notebook computer, printer, CD burner, mobile phone, MP5, and her son's computer. They fabricated evidence and held her in Fuzhou No. 2 Detention Centre for one year before sentencing her to three years of probation. She came home in September 2010. Her workplace attempted to fire her.
6. Falun Gong Practitioners Fan Kejuan and Wang Xiuqin Arrested
On September 16th, 2009, police officers Zhou Xun, Lin Wenqiang, Lin Feng, and director Li from Fuzhou Domestic Security Division arrested retired teachers Fan Kejuan and Wang Xiuqin, who were in their seventies, and ransacked their homes. They not only took Fan Kejuan's computer and printer, but also her husbands computer which he used to conduct scientific research. They were held in Fuzhou No. 2 Detention Centre, and Fan Kejuan was sentenced to three years and held in Fujian Women's Prison. Wang Xiuqin was held for one year before sentencing her to three years in prison with five years' of probation. After she returned home in September 2010, she was frequently harassed by CCP thugs.
7. Former Police Academy Teacher Wang Yongjins Arrested
On August 31, 2010, police officers Zhou Xun, Lin Wenqiang, and director Li from Fuzhou Domestic Security Division arrested former Police Academy teacher Wang Yongjin. They ransacked his home and took his computer, printer, and numerous personal belongings. He has been held in Fuzhou No. 1 Detention Center over one year now. His family hired a lawyer, but the Domestic Security Division and local 610 Office tried every way possible to prevent his lawyer from visiting him.
