On October 25th, Ms. Yu Qinfang was again arrested in Shiling Town, Longquan County, Chengdu City. She was taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Centre that same day and transferred to the Longquan Brainwashing Centre the following day.
On April 29th, 2009, Ms. Yu and her husband Mr. Xie Deqing were arrested by officials from the Chengdu Hydroelectric Investigation and Design Institute, the Funan Street Administrative Committee, the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong), the Shirennanlu Community, and the Funan Police Station. At the police station, director Liu Chuan and other officers beat and injured Mr. Xie. Mr. Xie was later transferred to the Xinjin Brainwashing Centre where he was held for over 20 days before being tortured to death.
This previously happy family was broken apart in the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party. Mr. Xie Deqing, his daughter Ms. Xie Weiqiong, and his daughter-in-law all died as a result of the persecution.
Ms. Yu's two young granddaughters have now been left alone at home.
