Former Government Official Ms. Zheng Lanrui Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison by the Zhengding County Court

Zhengding County 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, recently collaborated with the Zhengding County Court to sentence Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zheng Lanrui to seven years in prison.

Since her arrest by 610 Office agents, Ms. Zheng has been held n the Zhengding County Detention Centre. Her health has severely declined as a result of being tortured in the centre. She was put in handcuffs and shackles, so she was unable to move around. She became emaciated and couldn't take care of herself. Even though she was in such poor condition, the 610 Office forbade her family from visiting her.

At the behest of the Zhengding County 610 Office, the Zhengding County Court officials recently tried Ms. Zheng without informing her family. The court also refused to let her hire a lawyer to defend herself.

Zhengding County Court officials sentenced Ms. Zheng, with probation considering her fragile health, but the Zhengding County 610 Office agents had no regard for her physical condition and forced the court to change the verdict to seven years in prison. Ms. Zheng is currently in the Shijiazhuang City No. 2 Detention Centre.
