Ms. Zou Xuemei was taken to the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Centre by He Weijie and other officers from the Mazhang 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province on April 24th, 2012. Ms. Zou had become very thin 15 days later as a result of the persecution. He Weijie and other officers continuously harass and threaten her.
On April 24th, at about 6 p.m., Ms. Zou was about to have dinner with her husband. He Weijie and about a dozen officers from the Mazhang 610 Office rushed into her home. They did not present any identification. They dragged Ms. Zou to the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Centre. Ms. Zou was not allowed to leave her cell nor was she allowed to study the Falun Gong teachings or practise the exercises.
Ms. Zou, 63, lives in Mazhang, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province. Before practising Falun Gong, she suffered from many illnesses including a chronic sore throat and kidney disease. She spent a lot of money on pills and shots, to no effect. After she started to practise Falun Gong, all of her illnesses were gone. She has not needed to take a pill in the last 10 years and is very healthy.
In the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Centre, the guards forced Ms. Zou to listen to the Communist Party's false propaganda. Ms. Zou went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Four or five people held Ms. Zou's hands and feet and force-fed her with food and drugs.
After being tortured for 15 days, Ms. Zou was very thin. She had cramps on her left side; it was so painful that she could not walk. The guards sent Ms. Zou to a hospital for intravenous feeding. After Ms. Zou was sent back to the brainwashing centre, the guards informed Ms. Zou's family to pick her up in order to shift responsibility for her deteriorated condition.
Ms. Zou's husband has taken care of her for more than 10 days. She is still in bad shape. He Weijie from the 610 Office called him and threatened that he cooperate with them in persecuting his wife.
