Finding Myself in the Process of Finding Other Practitioners

After reading Teacher's latest lecture, I realized that the two most important things Dafa disciples should do now are one, to save sentient beings, and two, to find practitioners who used to practise and those who have not stepped forward. I began the search immediately.

I visited a practitioner's home, and she said that her daughter hasn't really been cultivating and has been indulging in an ordinary life. I was sad upon hearing the news. I found her daughter and patiently shared with her my understandings of Teacher's latest lecture. I said, “Teacher has only given two lectures on May 13 in the past twenty years. The first lecture was given on May 13, 1992, when Teacher first spread the Fa. The second one was this year in New York. This is an indication that although we aren't attached to time, the Fa-rectification process will come to an end eventually. Time is truly limited. Think about how much we've given up in order to learn the Fa. Of course, we don't know the actual situation since we are still cultivating. If we knew even one millionth of a percent of the long and arduous years we spent to obtain the Fa; if we could feel one millionth of a percent of the pain of the sentient beings in our world who are more dear than the children in our present lives, who are going to be eliminated during the Fa-rectification process because we didn't fulfill our vows; if we knew what our Benevolent Teacher had to endure to save the cosmos' beings; if we knew what Teacher has done to create opportunities for practitioners who are lost or slacking off to return to Dafa, and the gigantic tribulation Teacher endured due to the old forces' having imposed their standards upon those practitioners; what excuses would we have to not return to Dafa? We can never imagine or understand the tremendous sacrifice that Teacher had to endure waiting for us practitioners. Fellow practitioners, please come back! When the Fa-rectification process is over, aren't we responsible for the countless number of sentient beings that will be destroyed because we were lost? Then it is not just a matter of one's life being destroyed! The consequences are terrifying!” The practitioner understood and returned to practice Dafa.

One of the local coordinators was seriously troubled by interference. She studied the Fa at first, but stopped later. We visited her a few times with no positive result. After reading Teacher's latest lecture, I realized the severity and the urgency of the problem. The other day, I visited her but she was not home. On my way back, another practitioner told me she had just gone home and that I should visit her soon. I immediately went to her house. When I saw her, I felt some kind of element blocking her. I didn't allow it to interfere and told her about the recent Communist Party infighting and the 300 fingerprints case where villagers supported detained practitioners—both manifestations of the Fa-rectification process in the human world. She was moved by what I said.

Based on the Fa, I shared my understandings of questions such as, who are Dafa disciples and what are our responsibilities? What has Teacher had to endure to help practitioners achieve their mighty virtue, as well as to wait for those who are lost, and the terrifying consequences for those who don't come back and for their sentient beings? She eventually understood. I gave her Teacher's latest lecture, “20th Anniversary Fa Teaching.” I suggested that she read it several times and treasure this opportunity. She saw me off, until I was out of her sight. I couldn't describe how I felt at the time!

I went to another practitioner's home afterwards and she told me she was sending forth righteous thoughts for us, since she knew I went to talk to the practitioner. I was very touched. I thought I was the one who had brought back the practitioner. But I realized then that bringing back practitioners depends on the coordination of the whole group. Assisting Teacher in the Fa-rectification process is not one practitioner's task.

From this experience, I understood that it is not us that are bringing back practitioners. It is Teacher who is bringing them back. I didn't know what to say when I first arrived at the front door of the practitioner's house. But as soon as I entered the house I knew what to say. My wisdom poured out in an orderly manner and with fluency, and I was able to untie the knots in her heart. As long as we have the wish, Teacher will do everything else. The slightest thought of wanting to validate ourselves is being disrespectful to Teacher and Dafa!

I had previously talked to this practitioner with no result. But, this time she understood things right away. The Fa-rectification process has reached a certain point, and Teacher has made arrangements in other dimensions. As long as we do things with a pure heart, then we can bring back fellow practitioners. That is why practitioners responded strongly when I talked to them about the manifestation of the Fa-rectification process.

Teacher must have seen my wish and gave me the opportunity to find this practitioner. After this experience, I felt that the process of finding practitioners is also finding myself. I know that Teacher treasures all lives and elements in the cosmos!

Once I went to a practitioner's home to help her relatives modify the reception data of New Tang Dynasty TV. The practitioner's relatives live in the countryside, and her son drove us there. I immediately understood that Teacher wanted me to bring back her son. Her son has rarely studied the Fa in recent years and almost stopped cultivating. I tried to talk to him but he was not moved. After we arrived at the relatives' house, I began to adjust the television signal. No matter what I did, the signal was unstable. I checked everything and there was no other problem. I realized it was because I was unable to explain things in depth to the practitioner's son.

I asked him immediately, “Do you remember what I just shared with you?” He replied, “No!” I realized I didn't wake him up with my heart, and was merely talking with my mouth. I also sensed the compassion of Teacher not wanting to leave any disciple behind. Thus, I sincerely shared with him. I felt that Teacher was helping me. A strong energy surrounded me, my thoughts were clear, and I was able to break the illusion and disintegrate layers of elements that were blocking him. He finally understood and regretted wasting so much time in the last few years!

At this time the television signal became stable. I felt Teacher was near me and that the “Buddha's light shines everywhere.” I also sensed that Teacher treasures all lives and elements in the cosmos. It is even far beyond the description of “compassion”. I realized my disregard and contempt for lives was suddenly disintegrated. I experienced what is true compassion, and that is, to treasure the elements and lives in our realms, everything from the most microscopic to the most macroscopic!

I recalled Teacher's words in the “20th Anniversary Fa Teaching,”

“I sometimes think that while an individual being might seem quite trivial, each has its own life story. Some are solemn and stirring, some are complex and full of twists and turns, some are joyous, some are painful, and some are compassionate or kind, each having the different traits of that being. I really cherish them. But, such lower lives aren’t valued by the Kings or even greater Gods of different planes of the cosmos. This is something determined by their state of being. They only see the overall standard as important. A particular being or groups of beings in larger expanses don’t count for much to them, for [those gods] are just so large.”

At this point, I had a deeper understanding of Teacher's lecture. I had found myself again, at my realm within the Fa! Why did I feel numb about practitioners who were persecuted? Why was I apathetic when sentient beings were persecuted? The root cause was that I disregarded and didn't treasure lives at lower levels. Those were principles of the old universe, which also included elements of selfishness and unwillingness to harmonize others. Why is the Fa-rectification process so hard? It is because Teacher treasures all lives and elements in the cosmos. That's why it is so hard. I hope every Dafa disciple can reach this standard, treasure everything and everyone in our lives, have compassion when helping them assimilate to Dafa and enter the future, and regard everything that is encountered as an opportunity to treasure lives and help sentient beings enter the future. Because Teacher treasures the lives of sentient beings, and has arranged for them to be part of the future, the old forces of the old universe don't count. In the process of finding practitioners who are lost, I also found myself!
