Sweden: Appeal in Front of the Chinese Consulate in Gothenburg - Using Our Compassion to Awake the Conscience of People (Photos)

On July 20th, Swedish practitioners used a national vacation to hold a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate in Gothenburg from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. daily, calling on the Chinese government to the cease persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. This appeal will go on until the end of August.

In the past week, it was extremely hot except Monday when there was a heavy downpour. Practitioners continued to appeal there daily. Every now and then a cool breeze blew gently. People's comments have been positive. Many drivers passed slowly in their cars so that they could see clearly the words on the banners. Some drivers waved their greetings, some kept their horns hooting to give support and some held up their thumbs in encouragement.

The consulate's employees drove back and forth before us, carefully staring at the banners, which we changed daily. We continued to exercise harmoniously. We didn't know what they were thinking about but they were surely shocked to see the words on the banners and our presence. To let them know the truth, we will spend much time enriching the contents of our banners. Perhaps they dare not or could not come to talk with us. We hope that soon they will be able to learn the truth about the persecution and see through Jiang Zemin's vicious lies. If one of them is moved by our compassion and righteous thoughts, surely there will be a second, third or more.
