Experiences of Clarifying the Truth on the Internet

I learned to type Chinese characters for the purpose of publishing articles in Chinese. I needed to learn the Chinese phonetic character symbols, so I used Octan’s Spelling system. After becoming familiar with this, I could write very quickly. My speed of typing improved even more after I began to realise the importance of clarifying the truth to Chinese people.

I began to use internet chat rooms. I usually started with some jokes, and then proceeded to chat with people. I often chatted with many people at once.

One day, while telling a joke about “The Motherland”, I added; “Not until I arrived overseas did I realise that westerners praise Falun Dafa, but many Chinese people don’t know it. I also didn’t realise that the Tiananmen self-immolation was fabricated until I came to the United Nations. If you don’t believe me, you can visit the Minghui website. After taking a look, you will realise the truth about the incident immediately.” In addition, I also copied information on the latest proclamations and resolution passed for Falun Gong.

When directly talking about the truth of Falun Gong, fewer people talked with me. Some of them dared not to continue to chat. Nevertheless, some people reminded me to be safe, since people chatting on-line [in China] must be careful. I was aware that some individuals who were chatting with me might be police officers, since they were anxious to know my identity or which city I was from.

During the process of chatting on the internet, I used every possible chance to allow people the chance to know about Dafa websites, and clarify the facts to them.

For those who were deceived thoroughly, I was still courteous and friendly to them. I told theml “Cultivation is something without regret. I won’t blame you because you may not be in a good mood today” or “It is not good to say so, as it may hurt others, isn’t it true?” I always held righteous thoughts, and used my energy field to bring about positive changes to people. I held a clear purpose – to do what is best for the other person.

I often reminded myself to talk from my heart and to let them feel my kindness while reading my words. This proved very effective. I also believed that they could feel Dafa practitioners’ rationality, grace, compassion, immense tolerance, righteousness and peacefulness.

Another method I used was to post lyrics of truth-clarification songs on the Chat-rooms. My favourite lyrics are; “Regardless of how hard it is during the course of truth-clarification and how much I have to sacrifice, my only wish is to tell you the truth about Falun Gong.” Sometimes, it seemed that a field of righteous thoughts overwhelmed the entire Chat-room.

Studying the Fa, Fa Zheng Nian [rough translation – Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts] and clarifying the truth are the three things that we must do. In addition, we should remain steadfast in our cultivation. Time waits for no man; let us cherish this opportunity and hurry up to clarify the truth to all the people in China.
