Dear Minister Kremen

I am writing to you as an Irish Falun Dafa practitioner. But also as a student who is concerned over the effects of slanderous materials spreading in Ukrainian schools.

It has been reported that the Chinese Embassy in the Ukraine has been able to spread materials in Ukrainian schools, which slander and defame Falun Gong, a peaceful and harmonious system to improve mind and body.

I hope to put across my point of view, from the perspective of a student who is studying for an MSc. in Science Education.

I have practiced Falun Dafa for over 3-years, and have I benefited from the practice in many ways, including increased concentration, being more relaxed and more energetic. I have also found these help when teaching high school students and have a positive influence on the on-going learning in my class.

But there are deeper benefits, which I have come to experience. I have found that by applying the principles of Falun Gong; Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, students come to have a respect for my moral standpoint and this then sets them a standard by which they must adhere to in my class.

It is deeply worrying that a practice that only brings benefits can be slandered so easily. It is equally worrying that Chinese officials can be allowed to slander it in Ukrainian schools. I feel that this type of slander is actually damaging the students and their moral standpoint – something which may damage them forever.

I ask you to look into these reports, and for the students interests prevent them from being misled by lies.

Yours sincerely,
