On Saturday May 16, a parade took place on the streets of Bratislava to help raise awareness about human rights abuses in China. At the head of the parade was the European Divine Land Marching Band. The parade started at Rybne Square in the city centre and led the procession through the old town up to the Chinese Embassy. The parade lasted around 2 hours.

On May 13th 2009, Falun Dafa practitioners from Oslo gathered in National Congress Plaza at the city's centre to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. They wanted to let people know that Falun Dafa is now practised in over 110 countries and has benefited more than 100 million people. Norway National TV filmed the activities held in celebration of World Falun Dafa Day.

On May 16th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Belgium held activities in the famous university town of Leuven to celebrate the 10th World Falun Dafa Day. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises on the lawn, displayed exhibits explaining the benefits of the practice and gave out paper lotus flowers.

The parade drew the attention of many tourists and local residents who asked about the situation of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP in mainland China. The people appeared impressed by the Divine Land Marching Band's performance and many people took photos. The European Divine Land Marching Band was warmly received.

On May 13th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Berlin held an activity in the city centre to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. They also told people the facts about the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of innocent Falun Gong practitioners. Quite a few practitioners had a similar feeling: more and more people are interested in Falun Gong.

Four high school students were very shocked upon seeing the photos of Falun Gong practitioners suffering persecution. They asked practitioners about many happenings in mainland China and also took copies of DVDs that explained further. Two hours later, their teacher and the whole class came. They read the informational panels carefully.

On May 13, 2009, practitioners in Ukraine held activities on the square in downtown Kiev to celebrate the 10th World Falun Dafa Day, and express their gratitude for Master's compassionate and arduous salvation.

Practitioners set up posters, demonstrated the exercises and told passersby that Falun Dafa has been spread to over one hundred countries, but in China it has been subjected to persecution by the Chinese Communist Party. Many passersby stopped to watch practitioners do the exercises, and learn details about Falun Gong and the persecution.

On May 17 2009, Latvian Falun Gong practitioners organised an activity in Riga, capital city of Latvia, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. The event took place in Mezaparks, one of the biggest parks in Riga’s suburbs, which is a popular place for locals and tourists to go for strolls or ride bikes. ractitioners introduced people in the park to the cultivation practice of Falun Gong.

On May 13, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day in Luzern, a well-known tourist city in Switzerland. The practitioners set up a booth and displayed some panels in the city centre to introduce Falun Dafa to local residents and tourists and to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

On May 13, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day at Chinatown in Amsterdam. The practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, publicised the spread of Falun Dafa all over the world and exposed the inhumane persecution of Falun Gong in China. To conclude the activities, the practitioners sang songs.

To celebrate May 13, World Falun Dafa Day and Master Li's birthday, German Falun Gong practitioners held a series of activities on May 9, 2009, at Romerberg Square in Frankfurt. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, exposed the persecution of innocent people by the Chinese Communists Party, and performed dances and songs composed by Falun Gong practitioners.

When the tenth World Falun Dafa Day arrived on May 13th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Ireland held a parade and celebratory activities to celebrate the 17th anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction. They displayed the beauty of Falun Dafa and also exposed the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party.

Every year May 13th has been set as "World Falun Dafa Day". Falun Gong practitioners from around the world celebrate this solemn and magnificent day, and send their greetings to respected Master. On the 10th of May 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from Sweden and Denmark held celebratory activities in the public square in front of Copenhagen City Hall.

With the approach of the tenth World Falun Dafa Day, Falun Gong practitioners in Sweden, together with their family members and friends, gathered at the Kungstrad Garden in the centre of Stockholm on May 9th 2009, to celebrate the 17th anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction to the world and respectfully wish Master Li a Happy 58th Birthday.

The graceful exercise demonstration attracted a lot of attention. Many started to learn the practice then and there. There were also many Chinese people among the passerby who were interested in the exercise demonstration. Most were willing to accept leaflets. Some also renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations straight away.

May 13 2009, was the tenth World Falun Dafa Day. On May 10, 2009, practitioners in France held a series of activities to celebrate this day just as they have done in previous years at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The celebration featured traditional singing and dancing, a Falun Gong exercise demonstration, Chinese calligraphy, and folding paper lotus flowers.

On May 9th 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Turkey held a series of activities in the embassy district of Ankara to introduce Falun Gong and to expose the decade-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Gentle exercise music, graceful exercise demonstrations, and the practitioners' peacefulness drew the attention of many passersby.

May 13, 2009, was the seventeenth anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction and the tenth "World Falun Dafa Day." May 13, 2009, was also the 58th birthday of the founder of Falun Dafa, Mr. Li Hongzhi. Seventeen years ago today, Mr. Li Hongzhi opened the first session of Falun Gong seminars in Changchun City, Jilin Province, introducing Dafa to the public and unveiling the beginning of the spread of Dafa throughout the world. Falun Dafa guides people to cultivate their xinxing to be good people according to the characteristics of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, fundamentally eliminating illnesses, cleansing people's hearts, purifying their souls, and leading people on the path to returning to their original, true selves. Within seven years, Dafa had spread widely across China. More than one hundred million people practised it. In March 1995, Mr. Li Hongzhi was invited to impart his teachings in France, which was the beginning of Mr. Li's public introduction of Falun Dafa overseas.

On May 10th, Austrian Falun Gong practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day in Vienna and Salzburg, respectively. May is the busy tourist season in Austria. While celebrating World Falun Dafa Day, practitioners raised awareness about the nine year persecution of Falun Gong to local residents and tourists from all over the world.

Since it's introduction, Falun Dafa has already spread to more than eighty countries and over one hundred million people have benefited in mind and body all over the world. May 13th, 2008, was the eighth Falun Dafa day and also the 16th anniversary of Falun Dafa spreading across the world. Falun Gong practitioners from England celebrated in Trafalgar square on Saturday May 10th.

On the afternoon of May 10th, Falun Gong practitioners in Italy went to Via Dante (the pedestrian walk-way near the Duomu in Milan) to hold activities in celebration of World Falun Dafa Day, expressing thanks for the benefits they had experienced through practising and wishing their Master a happy birthday. Both Chinese and Western practitioners wore T-shirts worded with “Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. Some practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises while others distributed leaflets to tourists in a variety of languages.

When Falun Gong practitioners all over the world were celebrating World Falun Dafa Day on May 13th, Falun Dafa practitioners in Gothenburg also held a series of celebration activities in the city centre and many passers-by stopped to watch. On the same day, the resident association of BoViva area invited Sweden Falun Gong practitioners to introduce Falun Gong.

On the evening of May 13th 2008, in the central park of the third biggest city in Switzerland, Basel, Falun Gong practitioners celebrated the sixteenth anniversary of the spreading of Falun Dafa as well as the 9th Falun Dafa day. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and distributed leafets about the persecuton to passersby.

On May 17th, 2008, the Falun Gong exercise music could be heard at the Rose Garden in Berne. What was different from usual was that the Falun Gong practitioners were celebrating World Falun Dafa Day. They expressed their gratitude to their respected Master by practising Falun Gong, studying the principles, exchanging experiences and raising awareness of the persecution.

On May 12th, 2008, Dutch practitioners held activities in Rotterdam to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. While celebrating the festival, they erected picture displays, performed exercise demonstrations and petitioned to raise awareness about the persecution happening in China. Lots of people saw the harmony and goodness of Falun Gong.

May 13th is World Falun Dafa Day, when Falun Dafa practitioners around the world host different events and express their respect and gratitude to Master Li Hongzhi, founder of the practice, as well as raise awareness about the benefits of cultivating oneself according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.

On May 10th, Irish Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in Ireland’s capital city Dublin, as well as other activities to celebrate the sixteenth anniversary of spreading of Falun Gong. The atmosphere was full of harmony and the audience responded with lighthearted applause.

On May 10th, Finnish Falun Gong practitioners in Helsinki hung banners in Finnish reading “Falun Dafa Day” and “Falun Dafa is Good”. They displayed a newly made introduction to the spreading of Falun Dafa in the world and a display exposing the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and celebrating the ninth World Falun Dafa Day. On May 13th 1992, the founder of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Hongzhi spread Falun Dafa to the world. Passing through 16 years of trials and tribulations, those cultivation practitioners who cultivate themselves according to the principles of “Truth, Compassion, Tolerance”, to this day can be found in more than eighty different countries and areas around the world.

On the afternoon of May 11th, Russian practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day amidst the beautiful botanical gardens of the Moscow academy of science. The demonstration of the five Falun Gong exercises drew the attention of a large group of tourists, and the information boards drew group after group of passersby, who came to understand the truth.
