On May 10th, Austrian Falun Gong practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day in Vienna and Salzburg, respectively. May is the busy tourist season in Austria. While celebrating World Falun Dafa Day, practitioners raised awareness about the nine year persecution of Falun Gong to local residents and tourists from all over the world.

Since it's introduction, Falun Dafa has already spread to more than eighty countries and over one hundred million people have benefited in mind and body all over the world. May 13th, 2008, was the eighth Falun Dafa day and also the 16th anniversary of Falun Dafa spreading across the world. Falun Gong practitioners from England celebrated in Trafalgar square on Saturday May 10th.

On the afternoon of May 10th, Falun Gong practitioners in Italy went to Via Dante (the pedestrian walk-way near the Duomu in Milan) to hold activities in celebration of World Falun Dafa Day, expressing thanks for the benefits they had experienced through practising and wishing their Master a happy birthday. Both Chinese and Western practitioners wore T-shirts worded with “Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. Some practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises while others distributed leaflets to tourists in a variety of languages.

When Falun Gong practitioners all over the world were celebrating World Falun Dafa Day on May 13th, Falun Dafa practitioners in Gothenburg also held a series of celebration activities in the city centre and many passers-by stopped to watch. On the same day, the resident association of BoViva area invited Sweden Falun Gong practitioners to introduce Falun Gong.

On the evening of May 13th 2008, in the central park of the third biggest city in Switzerland, Basel, Falun Gong practitioners celebrated the sixteenth anniversary of the spreading of Falun Dafa as well as the 9th Falun Dafa day. They demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and distributed leafets about the persecuton to passersby.

On May 17th, 2008, the Falun Gong exercise music could be heard at the Rose Garden in Berne. What was different from usual was that the Falun Gong practitioners were celebrating World Falun Dafa Day. They expressed their gratitude to their respected Master by practising Falun Gong, studying the principles, exchanging experiences and raising awareness of the persecution.

On May 12th, 2008, Dutch practitioners held activities in Rotterdam to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. While celebrating the festival, they erected picture displays, performed exercise demonstrations and petitioned to raise awareness about the persecution happening in China. Lots of people saw the harmony and goodness of Falun Gong.

May 13th is World Falun Dafa Day, when Falun Dafa practitioners around the world host different events and express their respect and gratitude to Master Li Hongzhi, founder of the practice, as well as raise awareness about the benefits of cultivating oneself according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.

On May 10th, Irish Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in Ireland’s capital city Dublin, as well as other activities to celebrate the sixteenth anniversary of spreading of Falun Gong. The atmosphere was full of harmony and the audience responded with lighthearted applause.

On May 10th, Finnish Falun Gong practitioners in Helsinki hung banners in Finnish reading “Falun Dafa Day” and “Falun Dafa is Good”. They displayed a newly made introduction to the spreading of Falun Dafa in the world and a display exposing the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and celebrating the ninth World Falun Dafa Day. On May 13th 1992, the founder of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Hongzhi spread Falun Dafa to the world. Passing through 16 years of trials and tribulations, those cultivation practitioners who cultivate themselves according to the principles of “Truth, Compassion, Tolerance”, to this day can be found in more than eighty different countries and areas around the world.

On the afternoon of May 11th, Russian practitioners celebrated World Falun Dafa Day amidst the beautiful botanical gardens of the Moscow academy of science. The demonstration of the five Falun Gong exercises drew the attention of a large group of tourists, and the information boards drew group after group of passersby, who came to understand the truth.
