Germany: "For human rights and for you, I will sign my name" [23.07.2008]

On July 12th, 2008, Dresden city centre, Falun Gong practitioners held an activity to support the 'Millions of Signatures' campaign, calling for an end of the CCP persecution of Falun Gong before the Beijing Olympic Games. People who understood the truth eagerly came to sign, condemning the persecution. One German man shouted, "I will never sign" to begin with, but when he learned the purpose of the petition he said, "Well, for human rights and for you, I will sign my name this time".

United Kingdom: Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Gong on Lafrowda Day [22.07.2008]

Falun Gong practitioners held a stall in the Cornish town of St. Just. Every July, the town is filled with colour and music on Lafrowda Day, a celebration of community arts in the area. The stall was warmly received by locals in the remote village, as well as by tourists in the area. A local radio reporter saw the stall and wanted to interview practitioners.

United Kingdom: Candlelight Vigil Opposite Chinese Embassy Marks 9 years of Persecution [21.07.2008]

On Saturday July 19th, UK Falun Dafa practitioners held a protest and candlelight vigil opposite the Chinese Embassy in London. The protest was to mark the nine years of persecution against Falun Gong and to commemorate the thousands of practitioners who have lost their lives at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.

European Parliament Holds a Joint News Conference about the Recent Eutelsat Incident [20.07.2008]

Together with NTDTV in Europe and two other groups, MPs of political parties in the European Parliament held a joint news conference, strongly condemning the closure of NTDTV’s broadcast signals in Asia by the Eutelsat Company before the Beijing Olympics.

Sweden: Young Practitioners from Northern Europe Raise Awareness about the Persection of Falun Gong [19.07.2008]

From June 28th to July 3rd, 2008, over thirty young practitioners from Northern Europe went to Gotheborg, along with their parents, to take part in activities there. Although these young practitioners spoke many languages, including Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Chinese, it didn’t prevent them from communicating with one another and making progress together.

Denmark: Harbin Mayor Faces Protests During a Visit to Arhus [18.07.2008]

An eight member Chinese delegation headed by Harbin City Mayor Zhang Xiaolian, encountered a protest when they visited the city government of Arhus, Denmark’s second largest city, on July the 6th, 2008. The protest was organised by Danish citizens to expose the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Harbin.

Germany: Falun Gong at the Cultural Festival in Augsburg [17.07.2008]

Various political, cultural, charity and human rights organisations and groups from more than ten countries attended the annual Multi-Cultural Festival in Augsburg, including Falun Gong practitioners from Germany and Austria. It was the fifth time that Falun Gong had been invited to attend the festival, and the organisers were happy to see them.

Germany: People of Munich Support Practitioners' Activities to Raise Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong [16.07.2008]

On July 5th, 2008 Falun Gong practitioners held activities in the square of St. Michaels Church, in the busy business district of Munich, to expose the nine year persecution of Falun Gong and support the 39 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations. Many people signed their names on a petition condemning the persecution.

Germany: Falun Gong Information Day in Titi See [15.07.2008]

Falun Gong practitioners organised a 'Falun Gong Information Day' in Titi See in the Black Forest. They hoped to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party's nine year persecution of Falun Gong and to support the wave of Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party, as well as the affiliated youth and young pioneers.

Slovakia: Falun Gong Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Dafa in Poprad and Climb Kralova Holy Mountain [14.07.2008]

On July 4th, Falun Gong practitioners from Slovakia visited Poprad, a city in eastern Slovakia, in order to inform people there about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Although the weather was not very favourable in the beginning and it even rained a little, the passers-by were not discouraged. They stopped at the petition table, read the information material and signed the petition.

Finland: Practitioners in Helsinki Raise Awareness about the Persecution [13.07.2008]

On July 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners from Helsinki made use of the weekend break to go to the railway station. They went to raise awareness about Falun Gong and inform them about the ten years of brutal persecution endured by Falun Gong practitioners at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.

French MP asks Government to Protect Falun Gong Practitioners [12.07.2008]

On May 17th, 2008, when the French city Nancy held a meeting regarding the persecution of Falun Gong, French MP M. Roland Ena, a former minister and present aid to the Mayor of Nancy, wrote to the French government asking for protection of Falun Gong practitioners’ rights and ending the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Germany: Falun Gong 'Information Day' in Passau [12.07.2008]

On July 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held a “Falun Gong Information Day” in downtown Passau, Germany. They collected signatures from the public expressing support for bringing the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to an end before the Beijing Olympics.

Germany: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in Two Cities in Nordrhein-Westfalen [11.07.2008]

On July 5th, 2008, practitioners held activities in Düsseldorf and Mülheim in Nordrhein-Westfalen, German. They raised awareness about what Falun Gong is, and informed local people about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party during the past nine years.

Sweden: Protest against the CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Consulate in Goteborg [10.07.2008]

"The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China is bitter and merciless. My elder brother has been illegally imprisoned because he practises Falun Gong. So far over 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death, some of whom happen to be my acquaintances. We won't stop protesting until the persecution is ended. The Flushing incidents are indicative of the CCP's weakness, because the persecution against 100 million people has also threatened the CCP's ruling power."

Germany: German Cities Hold Activities to Mark "Global CCP Quitting Day" [08.07.2008]

In the run-up to "Global CCP-Quitting Day", activities supporting the 39 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations were held in nine cities in Germany on June 28th, 2008. Many people signed a petition urging the Chinese Communist regime to put an end to the persecution of Falun Gong before the opening of the Beijing Olympics.

United Kingdom: Falun Gong Practitioners Take Part in the Golowan Festival in Penzance, Cornwall (Photos) [08.07.2008]

The Golowan Festival, held in Penzance, Cornwall, is a well-known arts festival held in the southwest of England, at the end of June each year. This year, Falun Gong practitioners took part in the 2008 Golowan Festival, bringing the peacefulness and goodness of Dafa to the local residents and visitors to Penzance.

Switzerland: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in Zurich [07.07.2008]

On June 28th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners’ information stand again appeared on Bahnhofstrasse Avenue close to Zurich train station in Switzerland. As usual, pictures of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) were hung around the tent. The little table displayed leaflets and petition forms in various languages.

Finland: The People of Assen Sign their Names in Support of Falun Gong [07.07.2008]

On May 17th, 2008, Finnish Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in Assen. Assen is the most quickly developing city in Drenthe province in the northern part of Finland. Practitioners displayed banners and distributed leaflets calling on people to come to the petition table and sign their names in support of Falun Gong practitioners and demanding an end to the CCP’s persecution. Practitioners also displayed the five peaceful and gentle exercises of Falun Gong.

Sweden: North European Falun Gong Practitioners Rally in Gothenburg to Protest against the Persecution of Falun Gong [06.07.2008]

On June 28th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in Northern Europe held a grand parade in Gothenburg to protest against the Chinese Communist regime’s nine year long persecution of Falun Gong and to support the 39 million Chinese people who have quit the CCP.

Germany: 'Information Day' in Small Town on the German-Swiss Border [05.07.2008]

"Has this really been happening? It’s unbelievable!" Falun Gong practitioners told them, "What is exposed in these leaflets are real situations that have already happened or are happening now. Because CCP is so evil, we are persuading the Chinese people to quit the CCP, turn their back on it and eliminate it".

Finland: Candlelight Vigil to Mourn Those Who Lost Their Lives During the Persecution of Falun Gong in China [05.07.2008]

On International Day in Support of Torture Victims, Falun Gong practitioners in Finland came to the city centre and held a candlelight vigil to mourn practitioners who have been persecuted to death. A Falun Gong practitioner Anja said, “The thunder and rainfall have not stopped people from coming to find out more. On the contrary, people came of their own accord to learn about the truth and signed their names expressing their support”.

Sweden: Vara Council Member Supports the Falun Gong Art Exhibition [04.07.2008]

Mr. Jorgenssen expressed his support to the Falun Gong’s principles of “Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance”. He also recommends people to read the "Nine commentaries on the communist party" from the Epoch Times. “It can help you to understand the communist party's true face” Said Jorgenssen.

Belgium: The Vice-President of the European Parliament is Gravely Concerned about the Torture of Falun Gong Practitioners [04.07.2008]

June 26th was International Anti-Torture Day. During a rally with the theme “Torture Is Terrorist Action” organised by Amnesty International, Vice President of the European Parliament Mr Edward McMillan-Scott gave a speech. He said, "We know that torture in China is widespread and this must stop.”

Nordic Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference Held in Gothenburg, Sweden [03.07.2008]

On June 29th 2008, the Nordic Falun Dafa cultivation experience sharing conference was held at Goteborg, Sweden. Practitioners from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, as well as Germany, Latvia, Poland shared their experiences and of practising cultivation and raising awareness of the persecution.

United Kingdom: Practitioners March in London to Expose the CCP's Lies and Deceit [03.07.2008]

On the afternoon of June 21st, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in England held an activity in central London, strongly protesting the attacks on Falun Gong practitioners and volunteers at the Service Center for Quitting the CCP in Flushing, New York.

Taiwan’s Ambassador to France Urges Eutelsat to Restore Satellite Signal [02.07.2008]

Mr. Lai said, “For money, Eutelsat aided this corrupted tyranny to suppress Chinese people’s freedom. By doing so, Eutelsat devalued itself. Only by telling the truth can ordinary Chinese citizens become les numb. We need the media that dare speak the truth. Please restore the broadcast as soon as possible so that the truth can be spread across China.”

Finland: Practitioners in Finland Gather at the Chinese Embassy in Helsinki and Condemn the CCP’s Violence in Flushing [02.07.2008]

In front of the Chinese Embassy, the practitioners put up banners and placed display panels. They also repeatedly played a transcript of the recorded telephone investigation by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), over which Consul General Mr. Peng Keyu of the Chinese Consulate General in New York confessed that he orchestrated and stirred up the incident against Falun Gong in Flushing, New York.

Germany: Practitioners Take Part in Grand Festival Parade in Frankfurt [01.07.2008]

On June 21st 2008, Falun Gong practitioners took part in the Multicultural Festival in Frankfurt. The audience attending the festive appreciated the beauty of traditional Chinese culture but also learned about the on-going brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist regime in China.

United Kingdom: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong and the Persecution During the Glasgow Art Festival [30.06.2008]

Glasgow Art Festival is held every year and on this occasion Falun Gong practitioners in Scotland took the opportunity to hold an activity to tell people what Falun Gong is and how the Chinese Communist Party cruelly persecutes kind Falun Gong practitioners in China. As the Art Festival got lively, many people accepted leaflets and signed the petition.

Belgium: Friends Appeal for the Rescue of Falun Gong Practitioner Xu Na [30.06.2008]

In March this year, Belgian Marianne Lefebvre learned that her good friend Beijing Falun Gong practitioner Yu Zhou had been killed and his wife had been illegally detained. Marianne has been appealing to all sectors to rescue her Chinese sister Xu Na and she has launched a petition that has received more than 900 signatures of support. Belgium's Green party senator (Juliette Boulet) has addressed Xu Na’s case in Parliament and wrote a letter to the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs for help to get unconditional release of Xu Na and to ensure her safety.

United Kingdom: Practitioners Take Part in Cornwall's Golowan Festival [29.06.2008]

Falun Gong practioners from all over Britain were in the west Cornish town of Penzance this Saturday to participate in Mazey Day, the central event of the ancient Golowan festival. Practitioners performed a lion dance and Chinese waist-drumming, alongside schools from Penzance and the surrounding areas.

Germany: European Divine Land Marching Band Performs in Heidelberg [28.06.2008]

On June 22nd, 2008, magnificent music resounded in front of Heidelburg castle. Members of the band range from teenagers to seventy-year-olds. They came from various nations, speaking an assortment of languages. But they all share a common wish – to communicate the beauty of Falun Gong to listeners through music.

France: Seminar on China's Human Rights held in Paris [28.06.2008]

On the night of June 5th, 2008, a human rights seminar was held in the (Fontenay-sous-Bois) in the Paris region of Val de Marne. A number of the city's Green Party members and the French representatives of Chinese organisations as well as individuals attended and spoke. Tang Hanlong, head of the French Falun Gong Association, was also invited to speak about Falun Gong and the nine years of persecution Falun Gong has suffered in China since 1999.

Sweden: Falun Gong Practitioners in Stockholm Raise Awareness of the Persecution [27.06.2008]

On June 22nd, 2008, Swedish Falun Gong practitioners went to Vasa Museet, a place of interest in Stockholm, to practise the Falun Gong exercises together and raise awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution among local people and tourists from all over the world. A special Issue of the “Epoch Times” newspaper was well received by Chinese tourists.

France: Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Gong in Lille [26.06.2008]

On June 14th, 2008, in Lille, Falun Gong practitioners held activities in the centre of Brunswick Square in Place Richebé. Practitioners displayed eye-catching banners and information posters depicting the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and also performed a demonstration of Falun Gong exercises. A large number of people stood and paid their respects.

France: Support for the Thirty Eight Million Withdrawals from the CCP [24.06.2008]

On June 14th, 2008, the French "Quitting the CCP Centre" held an activity to support the thirty eight million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party. The activity took place in the Paris No. 13 region where a lot of Chinese people live, and exposed the deceiving propaganda of the CCP. They appealed for more of the Chinese people to quit the evil party as soon as possible.

Slovakia: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in the city of Samorin [24.06.2008]

On June 21st in Samorin, a city in middle Slovakia, a petition campaign for human rights of Falun Gong practitioners persecuted by the communist regime took place. The people were at first shy and asked practitioners, "What is Falun Gong?" A middle aged man said after signing the petition, "Everybody should be free to believe in what he chooses, nobody should restrain him."

Germany: Falun Gong "Information Day" in Hamburg [23.06.2008]

Practitioners set up a booth with a sign reading "Falun Gong" in the middle of Hamburg's Monks Mountain Street. It was highly visible to everyone in the area. Many banners, as well as a re-enactment of organ removal drew the interest of the passersby. Posters depicted the brutal mistreatment of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Sweden: The Swedish Parliament Holds a Seminar on China’s Human Rights [22.06.2008]

The Swedish Parliament held a seminar on China’s human rights in Stockholm. According to participants, the purpose of the seminar was to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party's human rights abuses and to immediately stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and human rights activities in the run-up to the Olympics.

Switzerland: Former Detainee at Wanjia Labour Camp Lu Shiping Tells Her Story at the UN in Geneva [21.06.2008]

The Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has long been a grave concern of the UN. Ms. Lu Shiping, a Falun Gong practitioner, who endured cruel torture at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, was invited to testify at the session about the persecution of Falun Gong at the 8th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners in Munich Condemn the CCP for Provoking Violence in Flushing, New York [20.06.2008]

On June 15th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held an activity at the Chinese Consulate in Munich Germany, both supporting 38 million withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organisations and at the same time condemning the CCP provocation of a disturbance in Flushing, New York.

Netherlands: Quitting the Chinese Communist Party Activities in Amsterdam [20.06.2008]

On Saturday, June 7th, a "Quitting the Communist Party" activity was held at the Nieuwemarkt, next to Chinatown. Information about quitting the party and the persecution of Falun Gong in China were handed out to the people. Both Chinese and non-Chinese where happy to receive the information. Chinese people were also provided with the opportunity to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party on the spot.

Finland: Finnish Christians Encourage Falun Gong Practitioners to Continue Working Hard against the Persecution [18.06.2008]

On June 14th, 2008, during Finland’s summer touring season, Falun Gong practitioners returned to Helsinki railway station to raise awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution of practitioners in China. The Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting mainland China’s Falun Gong practitioners for nine years. Practitioners erected display boards depicting the story of Falun Gong, demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, distributed leaflets and collected signatures.

Sweden: The Swedish People Give Support to an Assembly for Quitting the CCP Campaign [17.06.2008]

On June 14th, at the Swedish 'Quit the CCP Centre' in Stockholm, Falun Gong practitioners held an assembly to support the 36, 800 000 Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organisations. They also raised awareness about how the CCP has tried to divert attention from the fact that it ignored predictions of the Sichuan earthquake. Chinese political secretary Zhou Yongkang personally deployed overseas CCP consulates and Communist Party supporters in America, inciting Chinese people who did not know the truth to hurl abuse, assault and beat up volunteer workers at the Flushing 'Quit the CCP Centre' in New York.

Sweden: Falun Gong Practitioners Raise Awareness about the Persecution of the Practice in China [16.06.2008]

On June 14th, 2008, volunteers from the Swedish Quitting the CCP Service Centre went to Karlstad city central square to raise awareness about the evil crimes of the CCP and to support a 'quitting the CCP' activity there. The organiser of the activity told the people on site of the evil crimes CCP committed on the Chinese people and the current huge torrent of quitting the CCP. The singer, who was also the guitar player of the Yellow Express band expressed, “using the beautiful singing and the expression of the words helps the people who have been persecuted by the evil CCP in China”.

Finland: Practitioners Hold Activities in Helsinki [16.06.2008]

On Saturday, on June 7th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in Helsinki held activities at Mannerheiminti Avenue in the city centre to promote Falun Gong and call upon people to help stop the Chinese Communist Party's nine years of brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners displayed banners reading 'Falun Dafa is Good', 'Immediately Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong', etc. along side exhibitions to introduce Falun Gong. They also prepared petitions forms to call upon a stop to the persecution as well as Falun Gong leaflets in various languages.

Poland: MP Holds a Press Conference to Highlight Harrasment of a Falun Gong Practitioner [15.06.2008]

On June 12th, 2008, Mr. Andrzej Czuma, a senior member of the Polish parliament held a press conference in his congressional office about an attack on a Falun Gong practitioner by a Communist Party supporter. Ms. Zhang Xi, the Falun Gong practitioner who was attacked, was specially invited to talk about her personal experience of being harassed and threatened.

United Kingdom: Scottish Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Gong in Edinburgh [15.06.2008]

At the weekend of June 7th, 2008, Scottish practitioners raised awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution in the city centre of Edinburgh. The activity consisted of a demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises and a signature collection calling for an end to the persecution of the CCP. Additionally, practitioners displayed a banner representing the 'Quit the CCP Service Centre'.

France: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to a Perform at a "Night Of China" Show in Paris [14.06.2008]

On June 7th, 2008, the Beauchamp district of Greater Paris held its annual dancing and entertainment evening for its sports persons in the city’s sport club. The main theme was “A Night of China”. They invited Falun Gong practitioners from Paris to participate. Guests enjoyed the traditional dances performed by Falun Gong practitioners as well as several other performances.

Ukraine Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference [13.06.2008]

From June 6th to the 8th, a Falun Gong experience sharing conference was held in the Ukrainian capital Kiev. Practitioners travelled from countries including Russia, Belarus and Latvia to take part in the conference and several shared their experiences of practising Falun Dafa and understandings gained through studying the principles of the practice.

Belgium: Falun Gong Activities During a Cultural Festival in the City of Leuven [12.06.2008]

The Belgium International Cultural Festival attracted tens of thousands of people to the university city of Leuven on May 30th, 2008. Falun Gong practitioners from Belgium set up a booth during the festival, to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises, tell others about the benefits of the practice and raise awareness about the persecution of pracititioners in China. On learning what is happening in China, many people signed the petition to stop the persecution.

Finland: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in Helsinki [11.06.2008]

On Sunday, June 1st, 2008, people in Helsinki ushered in the 12th Métis River Festival on the banks of the Métis. Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth, hung up a banner worded with “Falun Gong is good” and displayed exhibition boards introducing Falun Gong and distributed beautiful folded paper lotus flowers as a special holiday gift to the Finnish people.

Belgium: Exposing the CCP’s Evil Actions [09.06.2008]

Miss Song, a volunteer at the centre, said, “It is not long since the Sichuan Earthquake occurred, this is also a national crisis. For the Chinese nation, it is really one disaster after another that the CCP has incited hatred and shifted the misfortune on to Falun Gong. We have the responsibility to have all overseas Chinese know the facts.”

Sweden: Documentary Exposing the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners by the CCP Broadcast on Swedish TV [09.06.2008]

Beyond the Red Wall is a documentary produced by the Canadian film director Peter Rowe. It was first broadcast by the Canadian National Broadcasting TV Company (CBC) on November 20th, 2007. The broadcast at that time was not smooth sailing. The originally arranged broadcast time was set on the 6th November, due to the pressure from the Chinese Embassy in Canada, CBC suddenly changed to another programme.

France: The China Democratic Party President Condemns the CCP and Expresses his Admiration for Falun Gong Practitioners [09.06.2008]

In light of the recent earthquake in Sichuan and subsequent rumours created by the CCP and violent attacks on Falun Gong practitioners attending the Quitting the CCP centre in Flushing, New York, this reporter interviewed the President of China Democratic Party in France, Wu Jiang, and Vice-president, Jiang Youlu.

Sweden: Falun Gong Practitioners Raise Awareness in the Open Market Exhibition [09.06.2008]

On June 4th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners took part in a large open air market exhibition organised by the local government in Rebro city centre. Switzerland: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in Neuchatel [08.06.2008]

On May 31st, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held a day of activities to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong at rue de l’hopital in the centre of Neuchatel in Switzerland. Falun Gong practitioners from Germany and Switzerland held a Falun Gong Information Day in Freiburg to disclose the Chinese Communists’ brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and demand the immediate cessation of the persecution. Recently, German people have expressed particular concern for China's human rights issues and were talking about this at the exhibition table.

Holland: Dutch Falun Gong Practitioners Hold a Demonstration in the City of Assen [01.06.2008]

On May 17th, 2008, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners held a demonstration in the city of Assen to protest against the on-going persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Signatures were gathered for the ‘Millions of signatures’ petition campaign, demanding the Chinese communist regime to immediately stop its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. After having seen the banners depicting Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China and having had explanations about the persecution, many would spontaneously come to the petition table to sign the petition.

May 13th was World Falun Dafa Day. Recalling the past 16 years of spreading Falun gong, we see that every practitioner, who has benefited in both body and mind, feels one strong sense of mission, that is, passing Falun Gong to people so that more people can also benefit.
