(Photos are re-enactments according to victim's descriptions) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Mu Chunhong was reported to police while she distributed leaflets exposing the persecution on January 30, 2001. She was arrested by police and was detained at the Huadian City Police Department. Policewomen Li Jie, Piao, and Wen ordered other police officers to cruelly torture Ms. Mu Chunhong.

The police officers demanded that Ms. Mu raise both arms, squat, and remain still. After Ms. Mu refused, the officers beat her with a broom. They hit her so hard that the broom bounced off her and landed across the room, causing Ms. Mu's head to experience swelling and numbness. (Figures 1 & 2)

Ms. Mu's hands were cuffed behind her back, with one hand crossing over her shoulder. The police stuffed a beer bottle under the cuffs, which reduced blood circulation through her wrists, and caused her hands to turn black and experience extreme pain. Ms. Mu Chunhong's wrists are currently still numb from this torture. (Figure 3)

On February 1, 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Mu Chunhong was detained in Huadian City Detention Centre. She held a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and was tied up on the Dead Person's Bed (1) to be force-fed. The tube was inserted into the wrong pipe, and she almost died from suffocation. (Figures 4 & 5)

In March, 2001, Ms. Mu Chunhong was serving her term in Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp. One afternoon, the Third Ward Leader led female prison guards to shock Ms. Mu Chunhong's chest with electric batons. They slid the batons inside Ms. Mu's underwear and scarred her flesh. They then cuffed Ms. Mu's hands behind her onto a metal bed frame and continued to shock her. (Figure 6)

The smell of burnt flesh from the electric baton shocks filled the room. Ms. Mu felt so much pain that it felt like someone was pulling her heart out. Ms. Mu spoke to these guards, telling them that it is illegal to shock prisoners with electric batons. Guard Jin Lihua shouted at her, "We were equipped with these batons to use on you." The guard shouted loudly, but since then she has not dared to commit such cruelty again.

Note:

(1) Dead Person's Bed - The four limbs of the practitioner are stretched out and tied to the four corners of an icy-cold metal bed. The practitioner cannot move at all. Neither is he allowed to get up to eat, drink, or use the toilet. This treatment lasts from several hours up to more than two weeks. This type of cruel torture causes severe damage to the practitioner both mentally and physically. See illustration on http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/12/15/55600.html.
