The Cruel Nature of the Chinese Communist Party in Dealing with Falun Gong Practitioners

After reading the article "China's Forced Labour Camps Sexually Abuse Falun Gong Practitioners" (http://english.epochtimes.com/news/5-10-21/33602.html), I deeply feel that the tyranny and poison from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) culture has turned China's police and officials into beings that cannot discern right from wrong, good from bad, and virtue from evil. I want to expose one of the cases where I learned how the police departments and the judicial departments in China persecuted benevolent Falun Dafa practitioners.

Ms. Sun Juan started practising Falun Gong in 1998. She followed the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and became an honest and kind woman. She gradually felt that she knew how to be a truly good person.

In October 1999, Ms. Sun, 21, went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practise Falun Gong. She wanted to explain how she benefited from the practice. She thought that if she explained about the goodness of Falun Dafa, it would warrant a re-investigation, and thus clear Teacher Li and Falun Dafa's name. She didn't know what awaited her.

When Ms. Sun arrived in Beijing, the police officers who were specially ordered by Jiang Zemin's regime to intercept, arrest and persecute appealing practitioners arrested her. After learning of her intention, they insulted and brutally beat her. Then several police officers ripped off Ms. Sun's top and said, "We will report your opinion to the higher authorities, but you must tell us you name and address." At the same time, they started taking off her trousers. They slapped Mr. Sun's face so hard that it became swollen.

Ms. Sun was detained in the local police station, and in June 2000, she was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. That was the first time she was imprisoned. She was released eighteen months later.

She was persecuted again in April 2002. The police detained her first for four days in the Zhongshan District National Security Division in Dalian City, and then held her in the Dalian Detention Centre for 50 days. Later she was sentenced to three years of forced labour and served in the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp.

After thirty-four months in Masanjia, right before she was released, the camp sent her to the Shenyang Psychiatric Hospital. In the hospital, they injected her with unknown drugs. Ms. Sun eventually developed neurological symptoms and became mentally disoriented.

In February 2005, Ms. Sun's sister went to Masanjia to pick her up. The police extorted 2,000 yuan1 from her. In April, Ms. Sun's family went to Masanjia to ask for the money back. Officer Huang Haiyan told them that Ms. Sun's sentence had been extended to November. Ms. Sun's sister called to ask for details, so the police put her under surveillance. They arrested her later and took her to the Dalian Brainwashing Centre.

What four years in prison did to Ms. Sun is beyond description. When Ms. Sun was in Masanjia, she refused to cooperate with officers Wang Xiaofeng and Zhang Chunguang and would not renounce Falun Gong. When she was unable to take the pressure, she swallowed a hair clip. Her health worsened and the police released her after ten days to avoid any responsibility in case she died.

After Ms. Sun got home, they continued making harassing phone calls to her at her home.
