Worthwhile seeing: “Human Rights Violations in China” exhibition until March 2nd
Immerse yourself into the pictures, even though some will shock you. With these words, Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig, councilwoman for culture, opened the city hall gallery’s latest exhibition by The Austrian Association for Art and Cultural Exchanges (Ars Cara).
Viewers are told that the works of art are exhibited to expose human rights violations in China. The pictures show a touching rendition of several themes: the beauty of cultivation, the call for justice and that justice will prevail.
Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance
The majority of the artists who are from Mainland China have personally experienced how human rights can be spurned. As practitioners of the cultivation school Falun Gong they live by the principles Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. This is the reason why they are persecuted in China.
