Three Practitioners from Liaoning Province, Hubei Province, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Died as a Result of Persecution

Ms. Zhang Shubin from Jinzhou City Died in July 2007

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Shubin lived in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. She held a hunger strike while she was detained, and was force-fed through the nose many times. Her nose was injured as a result of the brutal force-feeding, turned into an abscess, and became cancerous in 2003. She died on July 12th, 2007 at the age of 42.

Ms. Zhang Shubin started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1994. she was always the first to the group practice site. She set up banners and materials and taught the movements to new students. She also invited new students to watch Teacher's [Teacher Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa] teaching video at her home many times. She went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Dafa on July 20th, 1999. She was subsequently taken back and detained in Jinzhou City. She later went to Beijing to appeal many times, and she was arrested several times, detained, and sentenced to imprisonment in the Masanjia Labour Camp and the Jinzhou City Detention Centre.

Ms. Guo Yuzhi Died in Yichang City in 2000

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Guo Yuzhi lived in Yichang City, Hubei Province. She was employed by the Gezhouba Foundation Company. In May 2000, Ms. Guo went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. She was arrested in Tiananmen Square and brutally beaten by police. The thugs tied rope around her breasts and pulled very hard, causing her breasts to be severely damaged. After 15 days of torture, she was taken back to Yichang City and detained in the Yichang City First Detention Centre for 15 days. The detention centre authorities saw that she was dying, so they released her. At that point her breasts had become badly infected. Ms. Guo suffered for several months before passing away.

Ms. Liang Lixin Died in the Hohhot City Women's Prison

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liang Lixin, around 47, was employed by the Tuquan County Industrial and Commercial Bureau in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. She went to Beijing to appeal in December 2000, and she was arrested at the Dashiqiao Train Station in Liaoning Province. The Tuquan County Police Department Director Zhang (male, given name unknown) and the County Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Political Security Division Leader Wang Jinghua (male) brought her back and detained her in the Tuquan County Detention Centre. They had her sentenced to two and a half years of forced labour, to be served in the Tumuji Labour Camp. Ms. Liang's husband divorced her under pressure. She gave up cultivation in the camp because she was deceived through the brainwashing. She returned to cultivation after she was released.

In August 2004, Ms. Liang Lixin was arrested for passing out distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. She was detained in the Tuquan County Detention Centre again and sentenced to six years in prison. She was jailed in the Inner Mongolia Women's Prison in Hohhot City. She developed cancer after being subjected to severe physical abuse. According to the Tuquan County Police Department, she died in prison.
