Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents in the Changde Region have cruelly abused innocent citizens who cultivate Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Below are three of these incidents.

Ms. Wu Chuanying from Linli County

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Chuanying from Linli County is 55 years old. The head of the 610 Office1 led numerous policemen to her residence at 10:00 p.m. on November 22nd, 2005. They ransacked her home and confiscated a tape recorder, printer, Falun Dafa books and leaflets exposing the persecution. They also took Ms. Wu away by force and incarcerated her in the Linli Detention Centre. Ms. Wu went on a 22-day hunger strike so the authorities sent her to the County People's Hospital for forcible injections of unknown drugs. Ms. Wu managed to escape on the trip back to the detention centre. She went into exile and became homeless to avoid further persecution.

Ms. Wu distributed leaflets exposing the persecution on September 9th, 2006. Personnel from the Xinyijai Supermarket in Changsha City seized her and detained her for four days. Policeman Yang Fei escorted her back to the Linli County Detention Centre for further abuse. The guards incited criminals Xin Bilan, Hu Dongmei, and others to torture her. The guards even declared that only if the criminals obeyed their instructions and helped to "reform2" Falun Gong practitioners would their prison sentences possibly be reduced. The severe torture caused Ms. Wu Chuanying to suffer from bladder incontinence.

Ms. Wu was sent to Changsha Women's Prison on December 5th, 2006. She was physically abused daily and deprived of sleep. Her legs have swelled from prolonged standing. The guards even refused to let her go to the toilet and she was handcuffed behind her back. The criminal inmates, under orders from the guards, have carried out all the torture. Ms. Wu was tortured until she looks skeleton-like and weighs only 40 kg (88 lbs). She is extremely weak, but the local police have refused to allow her release and continue to detain her for further abuse. Her health and safety are serious concerns.

Ms. Chen Suoying in Anxiang County

Ms. Chen Suoying is a 71-year-old Falun Gong practitioner residing in Anxiang County. She was reported to the authorities while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Dafa in Baoheti. She was sent to Jinshi Detention Centre. A female guard named Zhou Mi instigated drug-addict criminals and thieves to verbally abuse and insult the older lady. They robbed her of the over 3,000 yuan she had on her. Then they used the money to buy expensive cigarettes and red wine to treat the common criminals. The guards and thieves worked together. "610 Office" agents changed Ms. Chen's age in their records from 71 to 68, so that they could aggravate the abuse.

Zhou Zelan and He Pang in Jinshi

Zhou Zelan and He Pang, mother and daughter, are Falun Gong practitioners that reside in Jinshi. They were seized in October 2006 at the Leigong Tower at Lixian. Police officers Zhao Xubo and Gong Daojian participated in the arrest. The police urged thugs Wang Daozi and Liu to create havoc at their shop. They also took over their house and beat their family members. The family's one-month-old grandson was severely disturbed. Other people terrorised at the same time included Hu Xinyuan and her daughter-in-law Gong Liya. The three-year-old granddaughter frequently woke up from nightmares and kept crying for her grandmother and mother. The two practitioners are currently being detained at Changsha Women's Prison.
