Ms. Chen Yao Dying in Zhejiang Province Women's Prison

Ms. Chen Yao, 31, graduated from Tongji University in Shanghai. In October 2002, the Wuyuancheng District Court in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, sentenced her to a three-and-a-half-year prison term, to be served at the Zhejiang Province Women's Prison in Hangzhou City.

To protest the inhuman forced brainwashing she was subjected to in prison, Ms. Chen began a hunger strike on January 8th, 2008. Almost two months have passed. Ms. Chen Yao is extremely weak and near death.
