A witness said, "She (Zhou Yulin) was already dead when she arrived the hospital." A doctor asked the police, "How come you starved this person to death?" The several policemen present were silent at first, but then one of the policemen started to argue with the doctor and started to assault the doctor before being pulled away.
The police took Ms. Zhou Yulin to the hospital, so she passed away either in the detention centre or on the way to the hospital. Therefore, she was not given any emergency medical treatment. Without medical treatment or an autopsy, how did the police arrive at the conclusion that Zhou Yulin died from heart failure? In addition, the doctor commented that the state of her body upon arrival strongly suggested that she did not die from a heart attack.
