Portugal: Falun Gong Practitioners Join a Rally Opposing the CCP's Human Rights Abuses on the Eve of International Human Rights Day
2005-12-18On the eve of International Human Rights Day, Falun Gong practitioners in Portugal joined a rally held in Lisbon. The rally was held to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) violence and to support 6 million people quitting the CCP. After reading the information on the display boards, people signed the petition in support of the Chinese people quitting the CCP. -
Ireland: "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" International Art Exhibition in Dublin Warmly Welcomed
2005-12-17The "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" International Art Exhibition was successfully held in the Tallaght Institute of Technology in south Dublin between the 5th and 9th of December 2005. The deputy mayor of South Dublin County Karen Warren attended the opening as did Councillor John Hannon, who made an excellent speech. -
Austria: Practitioners in Vienna Protest Against the Persecution on International Human Rights Day
2005-12-17On December 10th, International Human Rights Day, practitioners in Vienna held an event to raise awareness of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China and call for action to end this atrocity. The event attracted the public’s attention, and Chinese tourists also stopped to read the posters and view the photos to learn about the truth. -
Ukraine: Practitioners Condemn the Rape of Female Falun Gong Practitioners by Chinese Police
2005-12-17On December 10th, Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners held a protest opposite the Chinese Embassy to demonstrate against the six year long bloody persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and to strongly condemn the wicked rape of female Falun Gong practitioners by police in China and demand that the evil police be brought to justice. -
Iceland Ombudsman: Government Broke Law by Denying Falun Gong Entry
2005-12-16On December 5th, the Ombudsman, a position designated to monitor the state administration and local authorities, released its opinion on the Falun Gong entry denial case from June 2002: The government broke the law by denying Falun Gong practitioners from crossing the border, and authorising Icelandair to carry out the decision by refusing to permit Falun Gong members to board Icelandair planes. This is the second positive decision made by the Iceland government-monitoring institutions. On June 5th 2003, the Data Protection Authority stated that the Justice Ministry acted unlawfully when it blacklisted members of the Falun Gong spiritual movement ahead of the state visit of Chinese president Jiang Zemin to Iceland. -
Holland: Anti-Torture Exhibition held on International Human Rights Day to Expose the Persecution by the CCP
2005-12-16December 10th was International Human Rights Day. In order to call on people to pay attention to the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners in China and expose all kinds of methods of excruciating torture the CCP uses when persecuting Falun Gong, practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in the second biggest city in Holland. -

Germany: Recalling Falun Gong Practitioners' Peaceful Protests During Hu Jintao’s Visit to Germany
2005-12-14While looking at some photos taken of practitioners' protests during Hu Jintao's visit to Germany, it seemed as if their voices are still lingering in my ears. "Falun Gong is good!" "Stop the persecution of Falun Gong!" During the first ten days of November, Hu Jintao could hear such voices wherever he went in Germany. It gave me the feeling that I was there again. -
France: On International Human Rights Day Falun Gong Practitioners are Invited to City Hall in Paris to Expose the Persecution
2005-12-14On International Human Rights Day (December 10th) the French Falun Gong Association held an activity in front of City Hall in Paris at the invitation of the French branch of World Organisation Against the Death Penalty (ECPM France). The activity received strong support from the public, who gathered to watch Falun Gong exercise demonstrations. -
Czech Republic: During the Chinese Prime Minister’s Visit, Falun Gong Practitioners Call for an Immediate End to the Persecution
2005-12-13On December 7th, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao arrived in Prague for a two day visit. On Thursday, practitioners started a twenty hour appeal outside the Chinese Embassy, calling for action to end the persecution of Falun Gong. They hope that the public will pay closer attention to the on-going persecution of Falun Gong during Wen’s visit. Amnesty international and Olympic Watch also called on people to pay attention to human rights violations in China. -
Germany: Persecution Raises Concern on the Eve of International Human Rights Day
2005-12-12IGFM and Falun Gong practitioners jointly held an event at the University of Regensburg to call for respecting human rights and ending human rights violations, especially the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party). There was also a signature collection drive to end human rights abuses. -
Austria: Exposing the Persecution of Falun Gong to the People of Vienna and Linz
2005-12-11We organised two Falun Gong information days in the Austrian cities of Vienna and Linz in the past two weeks. In Vienna we had the opportunity to speak with a former Federal Chancellor. Of most interest to passersby was our poster exhibition, which recounted the Falun Gong story and the persecution practitioners of Falun Gong suffer in China. -
German MPs Back Calls For Wrongfully Deported Practitioners to Return to Germany
2005-12-10Upon Jiang’s arrest, the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs had negotiated with China, demanding an explanation of Jiang’s case and an immediate release of Jiang. Two months later, China had given no response. On May the 30th 2005, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Mr. Koenigs on behalf of the German government raised Jiang’s case during human rights talks between China and Germany. Not until that occasion did China admit that Jiang was under arrest, but China still refused to release Jiang. -

Norway: People Learn about Falun Gong on a Mountain Top in Stavanger
2005-12-09On a Sunday at the beginning of October, we decided to go for a walk to Dalsnuten, a mountain in Stavanger. The purpose was to hike up the mountain and show hikers in the Stavanger area the five Falun Gong exercises. The feedback was positive and many people took the opportunity to study the posters we laid out closely.
