Mr. Zheng Libin Passed Away after Years of Brutal Persecution and Torture

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zheng Libin was brutally persecuted with beatings, electric shocks and forced-feeding by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), because he exposed the lies and deceitful tactics – specifically, a fabricated slanderous news story – used by the CCP to persecute Falun Gong. In order to keep the scandal quiet, the CCP brutally tortured Mr. Zheng, leaving him in critical condition several times. Zheng Libin passed away on June 1st, 2010, just 38 years of age. -
In Remembrance of Fellow Practitioner Mr. Hu Dali, Tortured to Death for Practising Falun Gong

The Minghui website [Chinese version of the Falun Gong website Clearwisdom.net] published an article reporting that fellow practitioner Hu Dali had been tortured to death. I was deeply saddened. I haven't seen him for about 10 years, but I'd been waiting for him to return home and practise Falun Gong again. He suffered many hardships, and, in the end, the Communist regime tortured this wonderful young man to death. I met Mr. Hu Dali in a forced labour camp and spent a few months with him, during which time we encouraged each other to protest the persecution. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Liu Hui Viciously Beaten by Hulan Prison Guards
2011-02-14There are forty to fifty Falun Gong practitioners detained in Hulan Prison in Heilongjiang Province. They have suffered varying degrees of persecution. On November 25th, 2010, practitioner Liu Hui from Fangzheng County, Heilongjiang Province was viciously beaten by prison detective section head Li You and other policemen and was confined to a small cell for one month. He recounts: "Ever since I was detained here, especially during the last one and a half years, I have witnessed Falun Gong practitioners being beaten and tortured by prison guards and inmates." -
Ms. Xu Mingxia from Baoji City, Shanxi Province, Frequently Persecuted
2011-02-14Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Mingxia has been detained several times. In March 2010, she was sent to Shanxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp for a year and a half to be “reformed” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong]. Ms. Xu went on a hunger strike to protest. Guards force-fed Ms. Xu with salt water. Several inmates used a shoe brush to force open Ms. Xu’s mouth, knocking out a tooth in the process. Ms. Xu kept vomiting following the force-feeding. Several days later her stomach was bloated. The guards sat on her stomach to press it down and tried to coerce her to give up her belief. They handcuffed her to the metal window frame for nine days. They did not let her down until she finally lost consciousness. -
Former Political Section Chief of Liaozhong County Police Department Tortured to Death – Additional Information
2011-02-13Mr. Han Qingcai, 62, was the former Political Section Chief of the Liaozhong County Police Department in Liaoning Province. In 2001, he went to Beijing to appeal to the government for the right to practise Falun Gong and was arrested and sentenced to four years in prison. In the Liaozhong County Prison, he was persecuted almost to death before being released on August 8th, 2003. He died eleven days later on August 19th. -
Police Officers Dump and Leave Unconscious Elderly Woman in the Snow
2011-02-13Ms. Liu Hongzhen, 61, went to Fujin City Police Department on January 6th to request her son's release from a detention centre, but was denied. Ms. Liu's son, Mr. Yuan Shoujiang, has been detained for 15 days because he practises Falun Gong. Ms. Liu has requested the release of her son several times, but to no avail. Under intense pressure and grief, Ms. Liu fainted at the police department. While she was still unconscious, the police drove her back to Zhongsheng Village and left her in a minus 20 degrees Celsius field of snow. -
Detained Five Times, Severely Persecuted for Six and a Half Years
2011-02-13Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20th, 1999, practitioner Ms. Zhong Shujuan, 56, has been detained five times because of her belief. She was detained at the Dalian Detention Centre for 18 days, the drug rehabilitation centre for 28 days, Dalian Forced Labour Camp for two years and 40 days, Masanjia Forced Labour Camp for two years and four months for the first time, Masanjia Forced Labour Camp for two years and 16 days for the second time, and Luotaishan Brainwashing Centre for 21 days. She has been detained for a total of six years and eight months. She has been tortured in many ways, and she hasn't fully recovered from the internal injuries to this day and often spits up blood. Her hair has turned completely white. -
The Bitter Experiences of Mr. Wu Sanbai's Family from Xingtai
2011-02-13When talking about Mr. Wu Sanbai, 49, people who know him always say, “He is a good person!” However, during the past eleven years of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, he had been detained in a forced labour camp for three years. He was sentenced to a four-year prison term in 2008, and is still being held at the prison. Mr. Wu's wife, Ms. Hao Lianxiang, was taken to the Xingtai County Detention Centre because she also practised Falun Gong. She was suffocated for more than two hours. The guards saw that Ms. Hao was about to die, so they sent a message to her relative, “You should hurry up and pay 2,000 yuan for her. Otherwise, she will die here.” -
Well-known and Respected Doctor in Xinxiang City, Henan Province Put on Trial
2011-02-12Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xu Faling has been detained for more than five months. His family has been forbidden to visit him. The police notified his family that Hongqi District Court will put Mr. Xu on trial. Since the Chinese Communist regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, Mr. Xu was subjected to forced labour twice, in 2003 and 2006. He was fired from his position as a doctor. He was demoted and the hospital forced him to work in the laundry room. Unfortunately, his wife became frightened and did not dare to practise Falun Gong anymore due to her fear of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Pressured by the Party, she divorced her husband, her illnesses relapsed and she died in 2001. -
Mr. Cong Rixu Sentenced to Prison, His Mother Passes Away
2011-02-12Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cong Rixu was putting up posters exposing the persecution of Falun Gong in public when he was arrested by police. Mr. Cong was sentenced to three years in prison. His mother was traumatised by these events and was also harassed and threatened by policemen many times. As a result, her health declined and she did not get to see her son for the last time before passing away on January 8th, 2011. Learning of his grandson's sentencing, Mr. Cong's grandfather also became ill and paralysed. Mr. Cong's family wanted Mr. Cong to come home for his mother's funeral and visit his elderly grandfather, but their request was denied by the prison authorities. Mr. Cong has already served two years and is currently in District No. 4 of Nanguanling Prison in Dalian. -
Owner of Yuwen Technology in Shanghai Brought to Trial
2011-02-12On April 15th, 2010, Mr. He Binggang, the owner and general manager of computer operations at Yuwen Technology in the Changning District of Shanghai and also a Falun Gong practitioner, was trapped by secret agents from the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in the Changning District and taken away. His case has received a lot of outside attention, and the authorities' underhanded tactics have been extensively reported on. Shanxi Province's Xingping City Domestic Security Division Officers Persecute Ms. Li Ying'e and Huang Bo
2011-02-12Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Li Ying'e, Ms. Jing Xuehong, Ms. Huang Bo, and Ms. Liu Qiaomei were in Ms. Jing's car on January 6th. They stopped by the roadside and a young man suddenly forced open the car door, grabbed Ms. Jing, and started beating her, claiming that her car had run over his feet. When the polices arrived they completely ignored the man who had caused the incident and took the women and their car to the police station. The police interrogated the practitioners separately. The police found stickers with Falun Gong messages in their car, three leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and unposted letters. They then transferred the practitioners to the Xingping City Domestic Security Division for additional interrogation. -
Ms. Tang Yanbo Tortured at Heizuizi Women’s Forced Labour Camp
2011-02-11Ms. Tang Yanbo is being detained in the First Division of the Heizuizi Women’s Forced Labour Camp in Jilin Province. Because she protested the persecution of Falun Gong, and refused to do labour, she was tortured on the morning of January 7th, 2011. Chief Wang Limei shocked Ms. Tang in the face and neck with an electric baton, while hitting and kicking her. Ms. Tang shouted: “The guards are hitting me! Falun Gong is good!” The guards became worried that other inmates would hear and stuffed Ms. Tang’s mouth with a cloth and viciously pulled her hair. Guard Zhang Lihong played loud music and continued hitting and kicking Ms. Tang, who fainted as a result of the abuse. The guards tied her onto a "death bed". Ms. Tang felt extreme pain throughout her chest, becoming nauseated and dizzy. -
Personal Account of the Persecution Suffered by Ms. Song Huilan from Heilongjiang Province
2011-02-11Ms. Song Huilan has suffered repeated persecution by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents for practising Falun Gong. In her own words: "On July 1st, 2010, two fellow practitioners and I went to Jixiang Town to distribute Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. Someone reported us to the police, and we were arrested and taken to the Tangyuan County Detention Centre. Officers ordered us to wear jail uniforms but we did not cooperate. They beat us and verbally abused us. On the fourth day, officer Song came in with a pile of documents and ordered us to sign them. None of us cooperated. He threatened us and said that we would be detained for a month whether we signed the documents or not. In order to protest the persecution, I went on a hunger strike for 18 days. When I was on the verge of death, they notified my family to pick me up." -
Practitioners from Rizhao City in Shandong Province Sentenced
2011-02-11Four practitioners are being held in Rizhao Detention Centre. Ms. Qian was arrested on November 10th, 2010, and was sentenced to two years in prison on January 20th, 2011. Ms. Ding was sentenced to one year in prison in October 2010. Ms. Wang and Mr. Mu were both sentenced to four years in prison by the Rizhao Court. Ms. Zhang Ping, Ms. Ding's mother, was arrested and was later sentenced to four years in prison. Her term will be up in July 2011.
