Italy: Government Officials in Sardinia Show Concern for the Persecution of Falun Gong
2004-10-13From August the 23rd to September the 13th, a Swiss Falun Gong practitioner went to Olbia city on the island of Sardinia in southern Italy. Every morning he practised Falun Gong exercises in a park and set up a series of display boards so that passers-by were able to read about Falun Gong and the persecution that practitioners in China are suffering. -
Belgium: Promoting Falun Gong at the Hasselt Health Fare

On the second weekend in October, Belgian Falun gong practitioners took part in the Hasselt Health Fare. Many people attended the health fare and it was a big success. Almost every visitor to the health fare came to the Falun Gong stall or received a flyer. Children all over the exhibition hall were carrying “Falun Dafa is Good” balloons and paper lotus flowers made by practitioners. -
France: Falun Gong Practitioners were Invited to the Third Athletics and Sports Festival in Guadeloupe

The citizens of Guadeloupe are very sensitive to suffering. In the past, they were victims of slavery. Therefore, most people are very open and listen to practitioners explaining the genocide that is happening in China today. People express their complete disapproval of this kind of cruel supppression and can’t understand how such a peaceful practice could be persecuted like this. -
France: Promoting Falun Gong in Lyon City

On October the 2nd, French practitioners went to the city of Lyon to promote Falun Gong to local people at a leading Asian marketplace and Lyon City Hall. Practitioners also handed out petition postcards addressed to French President Chirac for them to sign and post as an appeal for the end of this inhuman persecution. -
Sweden: Promoting Falun Gong during a Cultural Evening in Norrkping

On Saturday the 25th of September, in conjunction with a Cultural Evening in Norrkping, Falun Gong practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises and handed out leaflets about Falun Gong cultivation practice and the ongoing persecution in China in several locations around the city. People expressed their opinion that the persecution of Falun Gong is wrong. -
France: Introducing Falun Gong at the Montgeron Association Information Day

After receiving Falun Gong leaflets, people were asking where the practice sites are so that they can go and learn the exercises for free. They also signed their names on a petition form calling for the instigator of the persecution against Falun Gong, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, to be brought to justice for his crime of genocide. -
United Kingdom: Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution by taking part in Leeds Chinese Cultural Week

Although dancing is not part of Falun Gong, practitioners all over the world have found that it’s a great way to attract people to come and find out more and this has had a good effect on efforts to raise awareness of the persecution. Many people who came shopping were attracted by the practitioners’ performance and stopped to have a closer look. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Xiong Wei in Germany Reveals the Inside Story of Life in a Chinese Labour Camp

To many Germans, “Xiong Wei” is not an unfamiliar name. She studied in Berlin from 1993 to 1999, returning to China in 2000 to work in the Beijing branch of a German company. Xiong Wei was arrested in Beijing on January 5th, 2002 for distributing information about Falun Gong. Later, she was sent to Beijing Women’s Forced Labour Camp and detained there for two years. -
Holland: Successful Start for National City Tour to Raise Awareness of the Persecution of Falun Gong
2004-10-07On September 30th, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners began a city tour through all major cities in the southern provinces of Holland to raise awareness of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China. The first location was in a square in Maastricht called ‘Square 1992’, coincidentally named after the same year Falun Gong was introduced to the public. The item was broadcast the same day in the local news and the event was reported in several local newspapers. -
Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in a Cultural Festival and Demonstrate the Exercises on Stage

To make the Munich Beer Festival extra special, the Munich City Government’s Cultural Office, Social Affairs Office and Foreign Affairs Committee jointly held a Cultural Festival celebration on September the 25th. Several dozen groups were invited to participate in the celebration, including Falun Gong practitioners who were invited to perform on stage. -
Germany: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Donauschingen
2004-10-05Falun Gong practitioners from as far away as Brussels and Geneva gathered in downtown Hanselbrunnen to introduce Falun Gong and explain China’s ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. This was the first time that such activities were held in this area. We found almost all of the people here had never heard of Falun Gong. The passersby were all sympathetic about the suffering of practitioners in China. -
Germany: Despite Bad Weather, Practitioners Introduce Falun Dafa and Expose the Persecution in Munich.

On September 25th, despite the weather, Munich was filled with visitors to the Beer Festival. Falun Gong practitioners from Munich and neighbouring areas were also there. In front of the Frauenkirche, they set up an anti-torture exhibition, an information desk and had organised exercise demonstrations, singing, dancing and drumming. -
Ireland: Introducing Falun Dafa and the Persecution to Chinese People on Mid-Autumn Day
2004-10-02On the Saturday before Mid-Autumn day, we went to O’Connell Street in Dublin city centre. We made a banner suitable for the Mid-Autumn festival, which read, "Falun Gong Practitioners Wish Chinese people a Happy Mid-Autumn Day." After setting up the posters, practitioners began performing a traditional Chinese fan dance and demonstrating the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. The exercise demonstration music we used was a shorter version with English explanations, so that people could watch the whole five sets of exercises and learn their special features. -
Germany: Introducing Falun Dafa and Exposing the Persecution Outside Cologne Cathedral

In order to expose the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, German Falun Gong practitioners have carried out a peaceful appeal at Cologne Cathedral, a famous tourist site, for nearly three years. On each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, practitioners cooperate to ensure the appeal activities in front of the cathedral during the three days go smoothly, whatever the weather.
