Spain: Despite Heavy Rain Spanish People Express Support for 37 Million Withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party

On May 31st, 2008, the Spanish 'Quitting the CCP Service Centre' and the Falun Gong Association held a rally in Madrid's Phoenix Square to condemn the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong and express support for the 37 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Though it had been raining for quite a few days in Madrid, the popular Phoenix Square it was still bustling and noisy. -

On May 17th, 2008, in front of St. Michael's Church in central Munich, Falun Gong practitioners put up display boards to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of the Chinese people throughout history. Practitioners also held an art exhibition that depicted the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. -

Holland: Dutch Falun Gong Practitioners Hold a Demonstration in the City of Assen

On May 17th, 2008, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners held a demonstration in the city of Assen to protest against the on-going persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Signatures were gathered for the ‘Millions of signatures’ petition campaign, demanding the Chinese communist regime to immediately stop its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. After having seen the banners depicting Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China and having had explanations about the persecution, many would spontaneously come to the petition table to sign the petition. -

On May 24th and the 25th, 2008, the annual "Global Village" festival activities were held in Kaisaneimi Park in Helsinki. More than 200 NGOs from all over the world took part in the activities. China's human rights issues were high on the agenda. This festival is a gathering place, its mission is to turn the world a more tolerant society. -
Germany: Rally Protesting against the CCP's Intensification of the Persecution of Falun Gong Before the Olympics
2008-05-30As early as in May last year, the CCP issued a secret announcement ordering “a severe crack-down on illegal organisations ... In order to better meet the 2008 Olympic Games to be held smoothly". Those suppressed are an “assembly of more than three people who do not listen to the advice”, “organisers of illegal organisations”, “Falun Gong practitioners” and “arrest them first and procedures to be handled later”. These secret orders are all openly an affront to the Constitution. -
Finland: Practitioners Commemorate April 25th Peaceful Appeal in Beijing

The beautiful city of Lugano, which is located in the Swiss Italian region, is a famous touring city. On May 17th in spite of heavy rain, Falun Gong practitioners set up a stall in the city centre. Although it was raining continuously, many people still accepted the leaflets distributed by the practitioners with enthusiasm and seriously listened to their explanations. -

Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day and celebrating the 16th year since Falun Dafa’s introduction, Greek Falun Gong practitioners from Athens demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and raised awareness about the persecution on 11th May 2008 by the ancient ruins in Athens. Many weekend tourists stopped by and came to understand more about Falun Gong. -
United Kingdom: Falun Gong practitioners Come Together to Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

Participants in the event were many new practitioners from various parts of the United Kingdom. To celebrate the day when Falun Dafa started to spread widely, some Falun Gong practitioners from Norway, Stockholm, Gothenburg and some other cities in Sweden gathered in Stockholm holding a series of activities for two days. -
France: World Falun Dafa Day in Paris

On the afternoon of May 11th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in France gathered in the Parvis de la Liberté ET des droits de l’homme opposite the Eiffel Tower in Paris to celebrate the 9th World Falun Dafa Day and the 16th anniversary of Falun Gong’s introduction. Peaceful exercise demonstrations, beautiful dances and happy music attracted many local residents.
