Ukraine: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in an Appeal to China to End Human Rights Violations

On June the 6th 2004, Amnesty International took part in activities at the Ukrainian Chinese Embassy, marking the fifteenth anniversary of the 'June 4th Incident' and appealing to China to stop abusing human rights. People from various human rights groups participated in the campaign and the Kiev Falun Gong Association of Ukraine were also invited to take part. -
Germany: Chen Gang Appeals to Rescue his Sister Illegally Detained in China

German Falun Gong practitioner Chen Gang wrote to the European Commission, the German Government at all levels, international human rights organisations, the United Nations and various media organisations to appeal for the rescue of his elder sister Chen Jie, who is a Falun Gong practitioner and was illegally arrested on June the 2nd. He also urged the international community to pay attention to China’s on-going trampling of human rights and freedom of belief. -
United Kingdom: Final Day of the 2004 Scotland Car Tour
2004-06-05On the final day of the 2004 Scotland Car Tour, the four Falun Dafa practitioners taking part in the tour visited one of Scotland’s best-known cities: Glasgow. The practitioners handed out leaflets in the city centre. Many people were interested in finding out more about Falun Gong and were keen to learn the exercises. One old Chinese man told the practitioners that he had the Falun Gong books at home and that he already knew about the lawsuits against Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin. -
United Kingdom: 2004 Scotland Car Tour continues to Meet Many Supportive People

Four UK Falun Gong practitioners have been on a week long car tour of Scottish cities since Sunday to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong. On Wednesday the 2nd of June, the car tour reached the city of Dundee. People were very supportive of practitioners who are suffering in China. Dundee’s local newspaper published a supportive article. -

She was curious that there were Western people practicing Falun Gong too and was also astonished to learn that Falun Gong practitioners do not receive any monetary reward for promoting Dafa outside. The Austrian Falun Dafa Information Center held a press conference in Vienna on June 17th 2004. The press conference unveiled a series of activities with the theme of “jointly putting to a stop to China’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners”. At the press conference, Mr. Zhao Ming, a Falun Gong practitioner from Ireland, gave an account of the miserable and cruel torture he had experienced while imprisoned in a Chinese labour education camp for almost two years. -

The Norwegian Parliament was the venue for a seminar on the human rights situation in China. It was hosted by Parliament members and co-arranged by the Norwegian Falun Dafa Association. Sweden: Practitioners Clarify the Truth at Hammarkullen Cultural Festival

On Saturday May 29th, 2004, the annual Hammarkullen Cultural Festival was held in Gothenburg city. Participants from over twenty countries performed and the festival attracted over twenty thousand people. To let more people from different countries know the truth, some practitioners from Gothenburg and nearby cities came to Hammarkullen to join the activities. -
United Kingdom: 2004 Scotland Car Tour enters its Second Day

The practitioners went to two television stations and explained the truth about Falun Gong to the journalists there. After speaking to a local radio station, the practitioners moved on to the office of the Lord Provost of Aberdeen. The Lord Provost was moved as he heard the truth and was shocked and sympathetic to hear about the persecution of Dafa practitioners.
