Persecution of Dr. Wang Anlin from Beijing Normal University Hospital

Dr. Wang Anlin was arrested seven times for refusing to stop practising Falun Gong. She was savagely beaten, and then sentenced to five years in prison in 2005. She was taken to Beijing Women's Prison. She recounts: "Forced labour was one of the main torture methods that prison officials use on practitioners. With no consideration for the aged, weak, ill, or disabled, all inmates were forced to do hard labour, and held to a daily quota. The authorities forced practitioners to take exams that determined whether they had been truly “transformed” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong]" -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. An Ling from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province Imprisoned for Seven Years
2011-03-18Falun Gong practitioner An Ling was arrested at home by police in November 2001. She was sentenced to seven years in prison in February 2002. She was imprisoned in the Harbin Women's Prison and suffered from brutal beatings and torture. She recounts: "I was forced to get up at five every morning and sit in the classroom all day, where guards tried to force me to renounce practising Falun Gong. I was not allowed to move except to go to the toilet. I had to sleep between two prisoners. Because of prolonged sitting on the hard bench, I was very weak. My right leg was stiff and each step was very painful. Even so, guard team leader Zheng Jie told the prisoners to take me to the workshop for forced labour in the morning and bring me back to the prison room at 8 to 9 p.m." -
Persecution Suffered by a Mother of Three Young Children in Forced Labour Camp
2011-03-14Ms. Tian Xiufen, a Falun Gong practitioner, is a mother of three. She has been persecuted frequently by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She was arrested on September 7th, 2009 by the city police, and was then taken to a forced labour camp. She wasn't released until August 24th, 2010. The night after her release, several police officers harassed her at home. -
Nine Years of Imprisonment: Ms. Wang Jinfan, 57, Recounts the Persecution She Suffered
2011-03-13Ms. Wang Jinfan has been persecuted repeatedly by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since the start of the persecution in July 1999. She was sentenced to more than ten years of imprisonment in 2002. She recounts: "Police broke into my home on July 16th, 2000. They ransacked the place, confiscated Falun Gong books and took me to the police station. Officer Chen used a torture method called "carrying a sword on the back" in which one arm is forced up and over the shoulder and the other is forced up behind one's back. Then the two are tightly linked with handcuffs. He slapped my face dozens of times until my face swelled. He dragged me to the centre of the room and kicked my back really hard. He grasped the handcuffs, lifted me up, and swung me. All my weight was on my wrists. I couldn't stand the excruciating pain and cried out. It felt like my right arm was dislocated. My wrists bled from the handcuffs." -
Violent Persecution in the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, Liaoning
2011-03-12I went to Beijing to appeal for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in 2000, and was arrested and sent to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning. This particular forced labour camp is notorious for its human rights violations. While I was there, I saw all too much evil. Falun Gong prisoners had to get up at 5:00 a.m. We had to work in the workshops, making flowers, sweaters, crafts, and cotton clothing for export. We were exposed to harmful chemicals every day. We worked long days, until 10:00 p.m., and sometimes past midnight. One practitioner named Su Juzhen was tortured to death. They would not let her sleep at night and forced her to squat for long periods of time. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Qu Dehong Recounts Years of Severe Torture and Persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
2011-03-10In the past eleven years, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Qu Dehong was detained and tortured in prison by the Domestic Security Team of Jidong County. His wife was forced to divorce him, and his mother passed away. He recounts: "In May 2005, I, along with eleven practitioners in the detention centre, started a hunger strike. We demanded to be set free immediately. The guards then forced food into our mouths. All the male practitioners were beaten with the rubber tube. They put a feeding tube into my nose to force-feed me. Additionally, they added a lot of salt into the milk. On July 5th, they sent me to the hospital. The criminals in the hospital used a metal spoon to open my mouth and force-fed me." -
Blinded in One Eye from Beatings in the Datong Bureau of Mines Detention Centre, Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Li Lanying Grossly Abused in a Forced Labour Camp
2011-03-08Ms. Li Lanying, who worked in Datong Bureau of Mines, benefited physically and mentally after practising Falun Gong. On July 29th, 2009, the bureau posted a slanderous slogan about Falun Gong. Ms. Li went to the Bureau of Mines headquarters and exposed the persecution of Falun Gong to people near the bureau. She was arrested and held in a detention centre. While she was there, guards incited the inmates to beat and force-feed her. They beat her nearly to death. She has completely lost sight in her right eye and has only limited vision in her left eye. -
Elderly Falun Gong Practitioner from Dandong, Liaoning Province Persecuted
2011-03-06I am an elderly female Falun Gong practitioner from Dandong, Liaoning Province. I have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for practising Falun Gong and suffered two years of forced labour. I was injured severely. I cannot see clearly with my left eye. I lost seven teeth and I weigh less than 90 pounds. Guards used former practitioners to try to brainwash me to renounce Falun Gong. However, the CCP's coercion cannot change my heart. I still firmly believe in Falun Gong. -
Firsthand Account of Persecution Suffered by Ms. Liu Xiuli from Harbin City
2011-03-05Because I went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practise after the communist regime started to persecute Falun Gong, I was constantly harassed, monitored, arrested, and fined. I have also been held in the detention centre three times and sentenced to forced labour twice. In Wanjia Forced Labour Camp guards hung me up in the air with ropes. A guard then shocked my neck and face and behind my ears with an electric baton. She also placed the baton in my mouth to shock me. My entire body shook violently and I was in tremendous pain. My mouth was covered with purple blisters from the electric baton, and it became so swollen that I couldn't open my mouth at all. -
Practitioner Ms. Sun Shuhua Recounts Torture at Dagang Women's Forced Labour Camp in Tianjin
2011-03-01Disabled practitioner Ms. Sun Shuhua was arrested for discussing the facts about Falun Gong. Later on, she was sent to Dagang Women's Forced Labour Camp and tortured. She recounts: "The head of the division arranged for some inmates to brainwash me every day. They instructed the inmates to force me to stand still or sit on a small stool from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.. Even though they knew I was disabled, they would force me to stand against the wall so closely that my toes, stomach and nose were up against it at the same time." -
Nine Years and Fifteen Days of Persecution
2011-02-26I started practising Falun Gong in June 1996. I had a variety of illnesses prior to practising, and had no money for medical treatments. After practising Falun Gong for a period of time, I became physically healthy and all my illnesses disappeared. I began conducting myself according to the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and became a better person. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999. I have been harassed and mistreated during the past ten years. I was detained at a detention centre for 45 days, in Xishanping Forced Labour Camp for one year and eleven months, and in Yongchuan Prison for seven years. I have been detained for a total of nine years and 15 days. -
Ms. Chu Xiuhe Tortured and Poisoned with Unknown Drugs at the Heilongjiang Women's Prison
2011-02-26Practitioner Ms. Chu Xiuhe has been arrested twice for practising Falun Gong and was sentenced to a total of seven years in prison. She was subjected to physical abuse and torture in the Heilongjiang Women's Prison between January 2004 and November 2006, and again between April 2007 and October 2008. Prison guards instructed prisoners to inject Ms. Chu with unknown substances and to lace her food with poisonous drugs, causing her to be in a confused state of mind. She was weak and unable to walk on her own. She could not take care of herself. -
Mr. Wang Lijun Tortured at Second Forced Labour Camp in Shandong
2011-02-24Mr. Wang Lijun was arrested by police on November 5th, 2009, when he was distributing Falun Gong materials. After being taken to the police station he was beaten until he lost consciousness. On November 27th, Mr. Wang was taken to Shandong Province Second Forced Labour Camp where he was tortured. he recounts: "I was forced to perform hard labour. I wrote “Falun Gong is good” on my table. After guard Li Gongming found out, he handcuffed me to a bed frame, so I was hanging in the air with my wrists supporting my body weight. I was in excruciating pain and broke out into a cold sweat." -
First-Hand Account of the Brutal Torture Experienced by a Falun Gong Practitioner
2011-02-23I went to Gaotou Village to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong in February 2001. Police arrested me and took me to an abandoned room in the Jianhua Construction Development Company. There were several bunk beds in the room. Five agents participated in abusing me. They handcuffed my hands behind my back and onto the upper level of one bed, and stretched my feet to another bunk bed. Yu kicked me hard to make my body swing between the beds. I immediately started to sweat profusely from the pain, and then lost consciousness. They put me down on the floor and used a teacup lid to push hard between my ribs, twisting and rubbing. Then they took electric batons and shocked me in the heart area, chest, private parts and armpits. It was very painful. -
Ms. Feng Xiaomei Suffers Retaliation for Seeking Justice
2011-02-22Ms. Feng Xiaomei has experienced all sorts of injustices and persecution over the past 10 years. She was fired from her job and so were her beloved husband, father, and younger sister. As a result, she had to support the family all by herself. In addition to this hardship she was arrested and put in detention. She had no way to formally complain about the detention, the unconstitutional physical abuse, the detention, or even the heinous violence she suffered. As a result of the physical abuse, there was blood in her stool for over a year and she became extremely weak. Ms. Feng Xiaomei was released on November 27th, 2010. She sent letters to the appropriate government departments asking that the law be upheld and that those responsible for persecuting her be held legally accountable.
