Dafa Practitioner Ms Fu Yingxia in a Life-Threatening Condition after a Nearly One-Month-Long Hunger Strike

While in detention, she went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal persecution and tried to clarify the truth to her persecutors, displaying Dafa practitioners' great benevolence and forbearance. The "610 Office" staff used various means to brutally torture her, including forcing her to sit on the "Tiger Bench,"piercing her hands with bamboo sticks, hitting her and beating her feet with a club. The extent of the persecution against her was so severe that even one policeman commented, "They are so heartless. This torture is too horrible to witness." -
The "610 Office" and Shuangyashan City Detention Centre Torture Falun Gong Practitioners
2003-11-18Bai Shuwen and guard Zhu Yaru whipped three practitioners. They forced practitioner Zhang to sit on the metal chair for four days and three nights. Zhao told them that she could not be put on the chair because she had heart disease. Xu Enjiang, a detention doctor then yelled, "We will just bury you if you die." Then he forced her to sit on the chair. At around 1 p.m., Zhao had a heart attack. Since then, she often had heart problems and could not take care herself until the end of June. -

2003-10-18On August 18th 2003, more than 10 Long Wan Xiong policemen illegally searched an elderly Falun Dafa practitioner's home at Yi Ge village for no reason. Several older practitioners were there practising at the time (two of them in their 70's, two in their 60's, one in his 50's). The sudden intrusion shocked them. The policemen confiscated Falun Dafa materials and forced several of the elderly practitioners to write a "guarantee note" [a note promising to give up the practice of Falun Dafa and not associate with Falun Dafa practitioners]. -
Dafa Practitioner Ms Deng Chunyan Paralyzed by Torture at the Hands of Shuangyashan City "610 Office"
2003-10-13After four days of surgery, Deng's condition stabilized, but she still couldn't move her limbs. After 46 days of treatment in the hospital and over 10,000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] spent, Deng was not improving. The hospital refused to give her further treatment as she owed six days of hospital bed fee. But the local "610 Office" and the detention centre refused to transfer her to another hospital. -

2003-09-30The head of the Quzhou "610 Office," the Handan City "610 Office" director arrived at Houcun Town. Then with the help from Houcun Town Police Station Director Niu Mingtang and Assistant Director Li Bin, they drove to Chenyangu Village in 11 police vans and blocked every street entrance of the entire village. Armed with pistols, electric batons, and rubber clubs, the police and officials ordered everyone to stay in their homes and threatened to shoot anyone who disobeyed. -

2003-09-01After 5 days in "Huang's Compound," Ms. Kong and Ms. Pang were illegally transferred to the Gaoleng Prefecture Detention Centre. During those 5 days Ms. Kong went on hunger strike and was brutally force-fed. The police's initial decision was for 15 days detention, but they did not release them after August 3; instead, they changed the sentence to one-month of detention. -
Dafa Practitioner Mr. Peng Shiqing Disabled From Severe Beatings by "610 Office" Agents
2003-08-28One winter night, after drenching Peng Shiqing with cold water, he was forced to kneel on the floor for several hours. While he was down, they set one leg of a heavy desk on his foot, a torture that caused him to suffer tremendous pain. In later interrogations, agents of the "610 Office" beat him so badly that they broke one of his legs, which never healed correctly and causes him to walk with a severe limp. Although it has been a year and a half since his detention, Peng Shiqing's family members have been denied visitation, due to fear that the atrocities of the "610 Office" would be exposed.
