United Kingdom: Morning Practice in the City of Edinburgh

On the Saturday morning practitioners met in an Edinburgh park to practise the Falun Gong exercises together. Practitioners agreed that practising the exercises together outside was very different to practising by oneself at home and everyone benefited from the strong energy field and serene atmosphere. -
Slovakia: Letting People Know about the Persecution of Falun Gong in more than 100 Cities and Towns

Slovakian Falun Gong practitioners visited more than 100 Slovak cities and towns to deliver information about the persecution of Falun Gong in China during Easter 2004. As the practitioners put up information posters, passers-by stopped to find out more. After learning the truth, they also expressed their opposition to this persecution. -
Germany: Information Day in Nuremburg
2004-04-19In Nuremburg, people watched a demonstration of the five Falun Gong exercises by practitioners from northern Germany. In China, those who practise these exercises could be be sent to labour camps, tortured by various means and force-fed while on hunger strike. Even worse, they may be killed as a result of the persecution. Falun Gong, a peaceful cultivation practice, has become widely popular the world. Many practitioners in Germany have benefited, so they try to help people understand this persecution. -
Talking with Haroldo: "Our Song Frightens Evil"
2004-04-19If you saw the performance given by the European ‘Coming for You’ Choir at The Inaugural Chinese New Year Global Gala in New York this year, you probably remember Haroldo’s excellent performance as conductor. In fact, he not only excels at playing the piano and conducting, but also composes. Haroldo introduced a saying from his hometown, ‘Singing frightens Evil’, which means that when people feel upset or are in trouble, they turn to singing because they believe that singing frightens evil. -

After sharing understandings between Berlin practitioners, we felt that we should try our best to let as many people as possible know that Falun Gong is good and how Falun Gong has been persecuted by Jiang Zemin in China. -
The Future of the European Union Forum: Jiang’s Lies Exposed
2004-04-16On the 7th of April 2004, the student union of the Free University in Amsterdam organised a public debate for candidates of the EU parliament presidency. The participants also included members of the EU parliament, important Dutch politicians from all parties, well-known professors, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners, the chancellor of the Free University Amsterdam, and representatives from many Dutch communities. -
Finland: Stories from the Railway Station in Helsinki

Denmark: Falun Gong is Introduced in a New Book of Theology

Recently, the theology department of Aarhus University Denmark supervised the publication of a new book, which details the background to Falun Gong. The publishing launch was held on the 26th March 2004 at the theology department of Aarhus University. The mayor of Aarhus attended the launch and gave a congratulatory speech. -
United Kingdom: Activities during the Edinburgh Easter Festival Celebrations

On Sunday the 11th of April, Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh held a day of Easter celebrations. To accompany and complement the parade there were also several smaller performances on two outdoor stages, as well as a variety of stalls. Falun Gong practitioners staged several performances as part of the festival. -
France: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited by a Nursing School in Southern France to Introduce the Practice

In March 2004, practitioners were invited to a nursing school to introduce the practice. They started by introducing Falun Gong’s guiding principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance to the class, and went on to talk about the five sets of exercises. Practitioners also informed the class about the illegal and brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. -
United Kingdom: First Performance of the UK “Coming For You” Choir at the Edinburgh Easter Festival

During the Edinburgh Easter Festival celebrations on Sunday the 11th of April 2004, the UK “Coming for You" Choir gave its first official public performance. The choir consists of almost 30 Falun Gong practitioners from across the UK, both Western and Chinese. They sang the song from which the choir gets its name: “Coming For You”. -
Finland: Falun Gong received Widespread Support at the Fashion and Wellbeing Event in the City of Mikkeli

The Fashion and Wellbeing Summer 2004 event was held in the city of Mikkeli at Mikkeli concert hall on April the 4th 2004. Falun Gong practitioners from central Finland participated in the event by introducing the facts of the persecution, demonstrating the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and giving people a chance to learn them. -
